by TODAYS standards, yes, the klitschkos are dominant and great fighters. but looking at their basic skills, their mediocre comp, and the people they have lost too, i fail to see what the klitschko fanatics will ever see. i respect them, but im far from being a fan of them.
Big Kevin vs,Cooper,Mildenberg,Dunne, coopman,Folley, who wins??? Ive got him even with Young,Shavers over Spinks.. Norton (who beat Ali 2-3) Frazier, Foreman NO NO !!
Sad, but not unexpected considering the source. LeftHook hates the Klitschkos -- that's not a big secret. As Mendoza said previously, you have to give Vitali credit for 3 fights in 12 months at the age of 38. And coming back from his retirement. I've said previously that I think Vitali wants to exceed Lennox Lewis' win total of 41. If he beats Johnson -- which I think he will do in a fairly routine fashion -- then he needs three more fights and victories. He's not getting any younger, so he has to stay busy. I'm sure Vitali would love to fight Haye, both for the payday and so he could T/KO him. Besides that, I doubt Vitali cares much who he fights because the truth is there really isn't anyone out there -- including Haye -- who has the ability to challenge him (or Wlad) right now. VK just wants to make a few more dollars, pass up Lennox Lewis in wins without losing again and KO Haye. That's about all that's left for him at this point.
I think Wlad has an above basic jab, hook off the jab, defense, one two, and footwork. Vitali I would say is more than basic. Unusual upright stance, hands at waist, leans well, good chin, great right, good jab not as good as Wlads, great assortment of punches.
I wouldn go as far to say Tyson destroys Vitali or Vitali beats Tyson. I can see reasons why each fighter would give other a hard time.
I mean Vitali has a better chin, jab, right, one two and is taller and bigger than Douglas. However Tyson in his prime is nothing Vitali has ever seen . This is why I dont like to compare two fighters from different eras because it was different eras.
In 2005, Bernard Hopkins (at age 40) fought 3 times for the Undisputed Middleweight Championship... He won once, and lost twice: On February 19th, Hopkins defeated Howard Eastman, for his 20th Middleweight Title defense. On July 16th, Hopkins lost his first fight in 12 years, losing a split decision to Jermain Taylor. On December 3rd, Hopkins lost in a rematch to Taylor.
Yup, kind of an easy win for Vitali if he is taking KJ seriouslly. The Vitali that fought Arreola should be able to stop KJ within 6rds, probably by TKO. KJ has a durable chin but the ref won't allow the beatdown to continue much further then 3 rds, IMO.
Who the **** is Vitali supposed to fight? I keep hearing the same criticism that he fights nobodies. Yet I dont hear the names of these "somebody" fighters Their aint **** right now in the HW division. Haye made the most noise moving up, and lest you all forget both Vitali and Wlad tried to make a fight with Haye, and Haye pulled out of both of them. The HW Top 20 is littered with aging fighters that shouldnt even be around and up and comers that are B-level at best. He has to fight somebody. Its not his fault that division is so lackluster.
