There is a time limit for each mandatory. It doesn't go by "next fight", it goes by the time limit imposed by that organization. Champions can make optional defenses or engage in non-title fights all they want...if the time limit comes and goes and they do not face their mandatory, they get stripped. That's it.
I hope Solis wins but if somehow bum Ray wins then wow i hope the wbc won't pish Vitali to fight Ray. The same Ray that Wlad easily beat by ko with just a jab.
the Solis/Austin fight is in December, so if Vitali fights late Jan/early Feb that gives him plenty of time before the mandatory would have to be met.....doubt winner of Solis/Austin would even want the fight to be within 4 months of the December bout
Vitali was hoping to fight Adamek in America early next year, but he will also be glad to knock Austin or Solis out also. Winner of Austin/Solis fight will be mandatory.
I hope Vitali doesn't fight either of them. Austin is just not good enough and Solis, whilst talented, is not yet ready for either Klit. Solis needs to fight a few top contenders to first to see how he fares agasint the better men of the division.
I am sure that Vitaliy KlitschKO will fight his mandatory challenger when it is due. He will fight anyone. He will not select elderly people only like one contender who pretends to be a champion.
