Yes, he just doesn't use it much. Neither does Wladimir. I think it has a lot to do with the fact they were brought up being trained in Eastern Europe. Those guys are mostly left jab, straight right hand type fighters. Uppercuts don't get used in the mix much.

Vitali also threw some uppercuts in there againt Arreola. He might not use the punch much, but when he does use it he uses it intelligently and effectively and throws a lot more of them that his brother Wladimir does. Last time I saw Wladdy throw and uppercut was in the ****ing Ray Mercer fight!

im not hating but Vitali through a windmill uppercut somewhere in the later rounds which looked awful

 

I must've missed it then. I never have seen that fight in it's entirety because it bores me to tears.
