Nope. His chin has only been tested against an old Lennox Lewis who was on route to knocking him out, apart from that he's had it easy and never been in any 'wars'. Good chin? Yup. Top 10? Nope. Can't compare him with the likes of Grim, Chuvalo, LaMotta, Hagler, Gavilan e.c.t. MrB
Explain how that's a troll post... so Vitali gets a 10/10 Chin for taking Lewis' shots but Lewis doesn't get a 10/10 for taking Vitali's shots? I thought Vitali was the hardest hitter ever?:rofl
This has to be one of the biggest assumptions in all of boxing. Fact of the matter is other than the Lennox Lewis fight ( A fight in which Vitali had all motivation in the world) His chin has never been tested. We really need to see him in another war before we give him the title "Best chin ever". Besides that lewis fight was 9 years ago. For those who doubt me, remember back in Sam Peter's Heydey, During the first Wlad fight how many flush right hands did Sam take before he was finally wobbled? At least 35. After that fight many said he had a chin of steel, it seems to have been broken ever since. Main difference was Peter's will & determination at that time. Ever since his will has been broken, he goes down easier. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying vitali will get dropped i'm just saying confidence & determination goes a long way. Vitali definitely had it that night going against lewis. Let's see Vitali and an all out war before we can give him that title. That's like me saying Deontay Wilder is the best ever. Hell he's been in with nothing but tomato cans. he hasn't been tested. Likewise Vitali with his dominance has never had his chin really tested. he's not china-chinned but come on let's not go overboard.
I never have and never will claim Vitali is the hardest hitter ever. **** off troll. And Lewis was sparked by Rahman (big puncher, but not huge) and McCall. I don't think Lewis had a glass chin like many though, I think at HW almost anyone can get dropped. The fact that Vitali never has been dropped is remarkable. Sorry buddy, I'm not some Klitschko fanatic who thinks they're #1 and #2 on the GOAT list.
Had a good showing against Lewis. Sanders landed a few good shots. He hasn't been hit enough to be considered. Is that a bad thing? lol.
Even though he rarely gets hit he took some monster shots vs Lewis. That uppercut the sound was just sickening like a gunshot went off. It clearly hurt him but he did not wobble or go down, that alone to me makes his chin pretty damn good. Top 10 maybe, he does not get hit enough to really make that statement but that can only be a good thing. I do think it would take something pretty amazing to put him down and keep him there.
And how do we know Rahman wouldn't have sparked Vitali? Vitali signed to fight him FOUR ****ing times and pulled out every time. The fact is Vitali's Chin is based on one fight. Sanders had him staggering like the town drunk. This is not to say he doesn't have a very good Chin, but it is NOT as proven as many many others.
Vitali via decision or late TKO. Chisora to take a couple of early rounds. We could get another Solis though, who knows.
So it sounds like you are giving major props to Vitali for his defensive skills. Good job. Don't forget to participate in my next Vitali thread; "Vitali Klitschko, top 10 atg defensive skills".
