Well, the fight is about two months away and no reports of Vitaly pulling out yet. That's a good sign but a lot can happen in two months and Vitaly has made a habit of pulling out of fights. So, I hate to say it, but I think Vitaly doesn't make it on October 11. He'll pull out for some reason.

The worse part, besides Peter's career being put on hold, is that this should be a great fight. With Showtime showing this and Tarver-Dawson the same night, that makes this one of the better cards in years. Two high quality and important fights and its not on ppv either. I'm pulling for Vitali to show but I don't think he will.

    There is hope for you.

Damn, it's happened five times already...like you have to be some kind of a hater to realize it...

It's OK to like who you like, but son of a *****...did you like him the last five times...do you remember believing him then...??? Of course.

You have the ability to remember the recent past, this is a good thing.

I actually wouldn't be suprised if James Toney was on hand to fill in...he wants a IIIrd act with Peter.

That would actually be bad for Sam, Toney would almost certainly win under those circumstances...training for the glass man VITKLIT, to have an in shape way slicker boxer show up to take his belt away.

    I hope VITKLIT makes it.

Nah, you can do like that Moral Man guy always does and negotiate for your return...

Anyways, don't do it...this is the "does he make it" thread...

Let's see if they offer up a lifetime ban on whether or not he makes it Oct 11th...watch 'em get quiet like church mice...

that's a bad matchup for toney. peter is too strong and active for toney who doesn't use enough foot movement. standing in front of peter is not a good idea. Peter was in awful shape the first time around 260. id take peter by wide pts w/o hesitation. peter doesn't need time to prepare for opponents. he fights 1 way and doesn't seem like the type of guy who studies film or analyzes his opponent although this picture makes me think otherwise :yep

...under those circumstances, I disagree...you saw what fill in boy McCline did. Toney is a nightmare to have waiting in the wings, you really need to train for someone with his abilities, sparring specific to Toney, or your going to get clowned all night.

    Marciano, no doubt...Louis, definitely...Foreman, yup...

    ...and then the KLIT's...???...ALL-TIME...???

    I guess that's one opinion.

I believe sometimes stats don't give the whole picture...Highest KO% does not equal "most powerful boxer," those stats do not merely reflect power. They reflect the level of competition, the integrity of the chins struck, also the state (in relation to prime) of the opposition in relation to their respective careers.

    ...and

    No, No, No !

Forget the lifetime ban ****, both of you.

WTF good does that do either one of you ?

Make it a two-week ban, or, if you must, a life-time avatar bet.

The forum needs needs both of you !

I hadn't thought of Toney stepping in if Vitali pulls out, but you're right ,Toney would have good shot of pulling off a win over Peter. Training for Vitali and training for Peter is clearly like night and day. Peter's career has been unfairly effected by Vitali enough, if he pulls it again that needs to be the last we hear of Vitali forever.

How about a ban bet for you, big guy?

    You see so confident in:

    1. Vitali not making it to the fight

    2. Peter beating him if he does make it.

    How about this.......

I will leave this board if EITHER of those scenarios happens........

But you leave if Peter gets beaten.......

So I am at a huge disadvantage, as I can lose from two scenarios, and you, only one.

What do you say, Suge, ol boy? Are you still as cocky about Peter, when it comes time to back him? :good

Why do I get the feeling that many of the Peter fans DO NOT want to see Vitali Klitschko make it to the fight? Wonder why that is? :huh

I wonder if Suge is as confident in Peter as he seems to be?

    (see above offer, Suge)
