I've got a feeling that Loma's skills will make Walters look inept out there, like TOTALLY inept. But a man like Walters only needs to land once to change the landscape of a fight.. Add to that, that I think Walters is getting a raw deal here (although he is facing a MACHINE of a Boxer in Loma), but anything can happen. Are you giving Walters a chance to win or not? If you are, how and when? Or is this a chance for Loma to put on a masterclass?
He has a punchers chance. The thing about Walters he knows how to CHOP YOU DOWN. He goes to the body hard. He's also dangerous on the inside with his massive uppercuts and hooks. His jab is also a weapon he pops it out there HARD. Loma has to be sharp never get complacent at anytime this guy can WHACK.
a very decent chance I'd say. Loma is definitely the better boxer, but if Walters can get him off his game by enough, I can see him get a stoppage. I expect a wide UD for Loma though.
to be fair the only fighters worth anything he has ever chopped down, were former flyweights who cant even win titles ar super bantemweight. he is at super feather now and he's power hasnt looked great at all
Genuinely decent chance. Walters is elite. I do however believe in Lomachenko and have seen enough to think LomachenkoIsTBE and can do very well in there and get the TKO. Walters won't be the same after tonight.
to add to my former post though, I hope that if Walters upsets the odds during the fight and it does go to the scorecards, he actually gets the win on the judges' cards too. We know that beating your opponent in the ring and winning on the judges' cards, are two seperate things in boxing. These odds are prettty odd (pardon the pun), and I'm a fan of Lomachenko, but if he loses he should also lose on the judges' cards.
Good post...I think we've got a fight tonight myself. Loma is exceptional...but with that said...Walters does everything well. This will be a tough fight for both.
I agree. I think Lomo learned from Salido but Axe Man has no need to unleash low blows. Axe Man has some brutal power and footwork and Lomo is just flawless in my view. Grab the wings and beer as this is going to make last week showdown pale in comparison to these two guys banging and boxing.
