As far as the 2010s go, you could make a good case. Overall? Probably not. Floyd beat legit people at good times at the lower weights.
Froch, Kessler??, Abraham, Dawson, Kovalev (robbery x2) Pacquiao, Canelo, Marquez, De la Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Castillo, Corrales, Gatti, Maidana... Hell no!
The only problem I see is this: You named 5 names for Ward and 10 for Floyd. At the times Ward fought 3 of the 5, they were in the their prime: Froch, Kessler, Kovalev x2. At the times Floyd fought 2 of the 10, they were in their prime: Corrales and Castillo. Seeing it this way, the "Hello no" turns into a Maybe so. However, Ward will never come close to the accomplishments Floyd has done inside the ring.
I couldnt name more elite wins, Bika, Barrera, Green... were good wins, but not elite opponents. Hatton, Corrales, Castillo, Cotto were at his prime. Pacquiao and Maidana werent at his prime but Floyd was even more past primed. 3 out of the 4 wins of Ward has an asterisk since he headbutted Kessler many times and should be disqualified and Kovalev was robbed x2 So, no way you can compare both resumes
i'm no MW fan but he's beaten better fighters and without resorting to wrestling/nutcracking/headbutting tactics.
