I agree with lots of this. GGG however got slated by the Wardettes for wanting to test the water at the weight above before taking on one of the sports marquee names and brightest talents. What would they have said if he'd have signed a three fight deal? I can't imagine it would have been good despite Chavez Jr. And Froch being levels above 172 Smith and Barrera.

No doubt! When it comes to fighters moving up in weight I don't criticize them for wanting to take a few fights before they get in there with the top of the division! But if a guy is a champ at a lower division and wants to get a fight with the champ of a higher weight, I think it's shows respect among champs for the bigger champ to take the fight! This has been done for a century, Ketchel/Johnson, Louis/Conn and of course Pac and May have done it as well. Ward, 3G Mayweather, Pac and Wilder are going to get criticized no matter what they do or who they fight, that's how it is. I just come on here to check out what's going on in the boxing world, get some knowledge and give some knowledge, mostly get. I try to be as objective as possible without trashing fighters but, some of the fans make me root against some fighters just so they will shut up and feel stupid!

However, you must agree that Chavez Jr. and Froch are levels above most everybody on 3G's resume as well! and Ward does have a better overall resume than G!

Ward be Kovalev is gonna be a great fight. I hope it actually happens. Ward has a great shot to win if hebis able to frustrate Kovalev and not make any mistakes.

However, if I were to bet, id bet Kovalev by T/KO

    This fight needs to happen.

Can't choose a winner, both worthy of the win. I'm behind ward though

For sure. Froch alone gives Ward a far superior CV to that of GGG. I think Golvokin, Ward and Kovalev are supremely talented. I'm not sure why people have such double standards when ****ysing their careers.

I also think this is as close as they come to a true 50/50
I however feel Krusher might drop Ward late in the 11th or 12 th and swing the cards his way.....Who knows but I do want this fight badly:deal:thumbsup

I think Ward has lost a step not sure of its rust the extra weight or age

To me he's not as sharp and easier to hit

Kovalev is highly skilled and doesn't need to hit you a lot to KO a guy. Ward will be a very difficult target but I dont see Ward avoiding everything all night

lil g didnt even say "hey man ok ill fight ya...if you can wait...i need to test 168 first for such a big challenge"...and they might have been able to reach some sort of deal...then again maybe not....maybe ward wouldnt have been able to wait that long and maintain the 168 weight

i do know that ward could have made 168 in april or march of this year and they could have tried to make it for then

but what k2 said was "it would have to 164(fully knowing even 168 might be tough for ward)...and we have others plans now....maybe in 2017 its possible"

had k2 said "we know ward is a tough fight...and we need to test 168 and adjust to it"...i would have been cool with at least him saying that even if they couldnt make the fight

instead hes waiting and hoping the lil canelo will fight him next year...hed rather have the small guy be on his resume....he knows thats an easier road

and now you have them floating zurdos name every other week now that ward is def gone from 168 and sanchez saying "ggg will be even better at 168".......

Kovalev will look like shizz in this fight... Ward will not only out class him, But dude will probably quit.

I'm calling a Stoppage on cuts. Andre is too smart and will use his head. (Get it)

Kovalev is too slow and basic for Ward. Ward will control the fight and stop him late rounds.
