Does ward need to beat kovalev to forge his legacy?

    Personally I don't believe he has to...I think ward has done enough and he ud's any current and past 175 fighter in history

    He doesn't need to fjght kovalev....I'm sure he beats kovalev ....so sure he doesn't need to actually fight him to prove it...to me or anyone....my word is weight ....don't need to see it....I just know it happens ...

    Ward is the 2nd greatest of his generation hands down behind floyd ...the record and resume prove it and speak for itself

    The only real fight I wanna see him in is against Liam Smith in the uk...smith is a big jr mw and it would be great for him to go over there and put on a show for his adoring fans in the UK .....there's nobody in his weight class who even challenges him

    Conversely, if Kovalev wins, it cements his legacy ABOVE Ward.
    Would have far better resumé at that point

    If I was ward Id ask for the fight in Oakland and most of the money ....he has nothing to prove ....we know he beats anyone ....he could retire after brand and he's an atg and a hall of famer

    I'd like to see him have one last fight ...in the uk...against Liam Smith and ride off into the sunset As a legend

    Seriously ....tell me who beats ward? Nobody ....he could stop now and still be an atg and the best SMW and lhw ever

    He's so dominate ....diSable sanchez thought him, and Barrera were gonna pull the upset and ward barely broke a sweat and cruised .....ward looked bored in there.....I think ward is bored with boxing ...it's too easy for him

    The pillows are in wards gloves ...yet somehow the mw champ was afraid of getting hit by them

    Ward should make kova rematch Chilemba and just maybe if waRd feels like it he can fight kova if he wins again in better fashion

    Ur right....that's what legends do....fight other top p4p fighters where it's feasible .....and waRd is a frigging legend....and ur rifht..., he'll win ....but he doesn't need this .....me knowing he wins is good enough in my book

    Does he need to win this fight for his legacy? No, but if he needs it to be P4P undisputed #1. I'm more confident about Ward winning than most fights. About as confident I was of Crawford beating Postol. I honestly think that Ward is going to white wash Kovalev, and it might be embarrassing. EE fanboys are already starting to get their narrative straight of the aftermath of Ward beating Kovalev. Ward said he has plans of cleaning out the division, he certainly will try and is likely to succeed.

    Terrible bait. You want somebody that you know is a GGG fan to call you out on your dumb theoretical H2H logic so you can claim them as a hypocrite in some fantasy "AH HAH!" moment.

    Truth is, you live in your own little world and nobody actually thinks GGG is an ATG or doesn't need to fight anyone because he would beat them easily. You have an unhealthy obsession with GGG though.

    GG fans say "omg he'd kill lara u think he has a chance"? ..."omg he'd kid Andre dirrell he has no chance"...all the time...don't pretend they don't

    I agree ...I think ward kills everyone and doesn't need to fight them....he should just fight Alex brand and then rematch him and then see if he has a brother he can fight....it's all the same.....I know he kills kovalev no point and he shouldn't be pressured into it
