no, i don't believe Joe would have fought for 1 Euro. he was just making it clear that he wanted the fight. he would have went to Germany to fight though.

it was Sven who didn't like leaving Germany. he never did so once in his whole career. in fact, German based fighters don't leave their comforts all that much. every once in a while it will happen, but it's rare.

Beyer also wasn't interested in Joe. i saw him being asked with my own eyes a couple of times. you can't force them into the ring.

well Joe wasn't going to go over to Australia. Sky wouldn't have been able to work with that due to the times being all over the place. and Mundine certainly wasn't going to come over here.

as i said before, Joe tried to have fights were he could unify with the others, like Reid, Mitchell, Ottke, Beyer and Woodhall, but they made it public that they didn't want to go down that route. only when they had nothing to lose did they show interest.

Lacy and Kessler called Joe out, so it was easy to make those fights with them showing interest. Joe showed them he was number 1. and he showed the others why it was wise to duck him.
