I agree with the majority of experts who are either picking Wilder by knockout or Fury by decision. That said, I’m beginning to wonder how the fight plays out if Fury goes off script and decides to push Wilder back. A few questions come to mind, specifically:
    1. Would Wilder’s stamina hold up to the burden of Fury leaning on him?
    2. Can Wilder fight effectively on the inside?
    3. Will Wilder’s right hand have the same effect from close range?
IF, big IF, Fury goes off script and Wilder reveals negative answers to these questions, we might see the scenario below play out again.

Interesting comparison Lacy was in Wilders shoes that they are both limited skill wise but the only difference I see is while Lacy hung in and tried to survive I see Wilder would rather go down swinging. We’ll see Saturday night,it’s an interesting match up

    1. I think Wilder has shown excellent stamina
    2. No Wilder would not be effective on the inside (in a trench war)
    3. Wilder has short circuited a few guys with close rights.

Wilder and Jeff Lacy should not be compared. Jeff was a short, physically strong,
slow footed plodder (slower than most guys he fought), that hit people to the body and head with hooks and
wore them down. Wilder is not a good boxer, but he's faster than everyone
he's in the ring with, longer (no homo), and is extremely mobile.

I think this fight is more about Tyson and what he has than Wilder TBQH.
We already know what Wilder has and is gonna bring. Tyson really has shown
us nothing since Wlad (these two comeback fights proved ****)

If Wilder wins I'll be Shocked & amazed. Whoever wins is #1 at Heavyweight. This fight is bigger than Wlad-AJ, not Wembley but a better fight imo
I'm putting 400$ on T.Fury I'll put it in my Avi on Friday or Saturday after I bet

Tyson coming forward and making it a rough inside fight is, imo, his only real chance to win. If he does decide to do that.... I actually do think he has a shot at winning.

And I'll be shocked if Fury Wins a decision. IMO he has to KO Wilder to win.
Theres a lot more money in AJ-Wilder than in AJ-Fury

I think Wilder will KO a fatigued Fury but I'll throw some cash on Fury by KO/TKO, not much though, max 50$ lol

I love this fight, hope it will not turn into a chess match, I wanna see someone get KTFO, it will be great for the sport in the US

I agree, if it's a "boring 12 Rd" it will definitely effect both fighters stock. Casual work out ppl at my gym already don't like Fury because of Wlad-Fury chess match. I'm baffled by the weight difference here I'm also expecting a highlight reel KO
Can't wait for the weight inpp :campeon:

Please elaborate on how you see the fight playing out. I’m mainly curious to know why you’ll be “shocked and amazed” if Wilder wins.

I think he has more than a shot with this strategy.

It's an interesting tactic you suggest and I like it. I don't think Fury should back up and give Wilder any sort of momentum.

I'm seeing most people are saying Fury should use his size and jab to keep Wilder at arms length, pick and box his way a decision.

I personally like the idea of a Wladimir style of jab and grab, lean on him, put weight on Wilder and those skinny legs, pull Wilder around, frustrate him.

And do that for as long as you don't get warnings, if the referee starts threatening point deductions then get on the jab.

    Exactly man... exactly.

I was supremely confident in Wilder winning this fight until I started thinking about what if Fury came in with the gameplan to march forward, smothering Wilders longer punches, working him on the inside while wearing him out grappling and letting his size work for him.

I still think that even if Fury does that... at some juncture Wilder should still find at least one opening for a fight changing punch, but Furys chances rise high enough with that strategy that it makes me genuinely nervous lol (I have about $500 on Wilder to win)

If Tyson follows peoples advice and tries to use his jab and box from the outside, I think his chances are slim.

    Just imo though.

I agree, I believe Wilder has to land one good right hand in 36 minutes and it's over or the beginning of the end.

And Good luck with your bet.

Can't see Fury doing that. Fight will be over in 2 rounds, if he comes at Deontay like that. Windmilled out of the ring. Tyson will box on the back foot, and throw the occassional power punch with his back to the ropes. Probably try do what Hughie did, and retreat to the corner. Think Deontay will corner him, and tee off on his fat ass, for a submission beating.

I see Fury boxing Wilder long & Wilder's power being exposed. I think Fury is a better puncher than Wilder & Povetkin because he can put you in positions you dont want to be in & Every Heavyweight has KO power.

I won't be surprised if Wilder gives Fury his back like Wlad did several times. Imo Wilder only has a punchers will be really interesting.

I don’t have a favorite in this fight, however, I think Fury can “buy time” by keeping Wilder at close range. I emphasized “buy time” because I think Fury can outbox Wilder for significant stretches of time.

Like you, I believe Wilder has a puncher’s chance. That said, Fury should do what he does best and fight at range where he’s comfortably unorthodox yet effective. Then whenever Wilder misses, he should land a few punches at close range, tie up, and walk Wilder back until the ref calls for a break.
