Does wilder has power or does he just fight ko bums?

ortiz is old but he isn't a bum.

wilder has stepped up - this once and proved he has word class power

I rip Wilder all the time, but the one thing he has is massive, shattering power.

His delivery system is what needs work.

 

The mans got power, hes knocked out a lot of bums but some of them bums can take a shot, hell theyve had to, and they got ****ed up by Wilder. The man bangs. Ofcourse a good percentage of his wins have come from illegal shots to the back of the head but the question is about his power.

 

Nah he has crazy power, you don't go around KOing 30+ people in first three rounds if you don't have ungodly power. Even if those guys are bums.

 

Not to mention that some of his KO's are plain scary, Liakhovich one stands out in particular. That was just brutal.

 

His power is legit and his straight right is textbook. His defense and footwork on the other hand are horrible, but fortunately for Wilder effective speed and timing aren't valued qualities in the heavyweight division these days. Both Stiverne and Ortiz were countering Wilder, but both were to slow to get in the perfect position to take him out. He also has a bad habit of turning while being within his opponents punching range. I'm still surprised his team hasn't fixed that yet.

 

Wilder's KO "power" is just like the rest of his career, a FRAUD - entirely manufacturing by fighting mostly stiffs Chris Byrd could KO. Wilder fought some of the worst tomato cans his handlers could find for FIVE YEARS and then, carefully selected washed up name opponents like Fraudley or Lyakhovich, mediocrities like Duhaupas or Szpilka, and overrated, old contenders like Stiverne and Grandpa Ortiz.

It's the biggest con job I've seen in 35 years of following boxing. What's really amazing is that ANY boxing fans have fallen for this. Sad, actually.

 

Overrated power. Where is his one shot ko's of contenders that were not shot or holding resumes filled with red stoppages losses? Don't give me Scuba Scott.

If you study his record he has KOed very few of his opponents who hadn't already suffered from one or more KO losses to poor competition prior to getting dropped by him (and of those who hadn't been KOed the majority of them had already been defeated by SD/UD against poor opposition prior to facing him.) Make what you will of that but those are the facts.

That said, his power is undoubtedly the real deal and after watching him KO Ortiz I have developed a great deal more respect for him, because as well as power he also demonstrated in that fight that he has the heart of a lion. However, until I see him KO a couple of top contenders who aren't pushing 40 e.g. Dillian Whyte, Joeseph Parker, Tyson Fury etc. then I'm still not completely sold on him just yet.

 

Worst of all, Wilder and his team picked Duhaupas as an opponent which they thought they could easily KO. In the end, it turned out Wilder's 'devastating one punch KO power' was exposed to be severely lacking and nearly non-existent + overrated when his career high number of maximum powered flush power punches for 11+ rounds did nothing to Duhaupas, except inflict minor bleeding. Couldn't achieve a single knockdown, never mind a KO and could barely even back Duhaupas up, or discourage him, or even put a dent on him.

Wilder appeared to have the punching power of a little toddler against Duhaupas, who courageously took everything overrating hitting Wilder dished out, at times, tickling from those punches, rather than being badly hurt. Duhaupas was egging Wilder on, telling him directly in his face if that's the embarrassing power he has.

 

Legit, knockout power. When he fights I feel like a knockout could come in the next second.

 

There is nothing "legit" about Wilder's power. It is entirely the product of facing a collection of stiffs Chris Byrd could KO. Keep buying the hype, though, that's exactly what the con-men behind this FRAUD are hoping boxing fans do.
