A prime Margarito struggled to keep a fight with Williams close and Canelo works half as hard...

A-YESSIR! Interesting indeed. . . Because Canelo hits harder than Margarito, and has a completely different style than Margarito. . . Margarito was a face first, inside brawler with no defense. . . Whereas Canelo is a mid-range hooker type - a true boxer/puncher.

You're forgetting that was a prime Williams, and Canelo is heavier, stronger, and hits harder than Margarito. . Williams will be walking into his shots, whereas Margarito was walking into Williams shots. . That was pretty muc hthe only fight where I've seen Williams "fight tall". . You don't need more activity than Williams to beat him. . .

If Canelo can take the work rate of Williams I think he'll win. His power will probably make Williams more cautious with his 80-100 per round output, I don't think he's going to have the freedom of movement/space to punch that much.

Here are legitimate reasons why Canelo gets beat and you lose your bet.




This fight will be worth the money just to see Williams expose Canelo. I kinda thought he looked like **** against Mosley to be honest....to be more exact I thought he looked LAZY. Lazy isn't a good thing to be when you're facing an opponent like Paul Williams.

Paul Williams because of his style, how he moves and bends to avoid punches is an othodox fighters nightmare...This is why Paul can fight "small" and on the inside. His defensive movements are actually extremely good and effective......against orthodox fighters.

Against a SOUTHPAW Paul fights the same damn way and gets owned. This is because he moves in the same damn direction, bends the same damn way, and develops the same damn rhythm. So instead of moving out of the way of punches that he naturally does well against any ORTHODOX fighter, he often times will bend or dip directly into a punch..

Go back and watch both fights with Martinez, Quintana 1 and the fight with Lara to see what I'm talking about....

In both Martinez 1 and Quintana 1, Both fighters found themselves tagging Williams at will with left hands with amazing ease and with serious effect. They made it look easy and that's because it was. Williams was lining it up for them.

While you're at it folks check out Williams-Margarito to further understand what I'm talking about. Yea, that was a peak, elite level Margo with handwraps getting ****ed by Paul Williams...That's when I became a fan of Williams. The man hasn't changed.

So in short summary this is why Canelo gets embarrased, and why I will surely be making some good money when this fight goes down.

I like Paul Williams, he's an entertaining fighter who gives it his all. However, like Jermain Taylor he needs to get out of the game. This fight will end badly for Paul, he either loses a wide decision or gets brutally stopped, hope he proves me wrong
