Does winning the Colored Heavyweight Champ carry the weight as winning an Alpha Title?

How does the Colored Title compare to an Alpha Title?

  1. Colored Title is More Prestigious

    44.4%
  2. Alpha Title is More Prestigious

    27.8%
  3. About the Same

    27.8%

This has NEVER been the case concerning the Colored Heavyweight Title,Peter Felix a West Indian fought Jack Johnson for his championship. in Australia.Felix never fought outside that a continent.
Peter Jackson, another West Indian, and a nationalised Australian won the colored title from George Godfrey.

There was certainly no demand for a Jeffries v Hart match, and Hart forestalled any talk of a return with Johnson by saying he would never fight another black man.

Ring Magazine has named Tyson Fury the number one man despite only getting a draw with Wilder.

Jeffries had nothing to do with the selection,he was just paid to referee and award the title,He later stated he had no authority to declare anyone champion of anything

"Billed for the 'coloured' Heavyweight title and fought with 2 ounce gloves under Marquis of Queensberry rules for a purse of $2,000. The only knockdown came in the second round when the bigger Jackson uppercut Godfrey. They battled furiously for ten rounds before Jackson's weight and reach began to tell on the Canadian. In the last three rounds Godfrey took a terrific beating but refused to go down. Covered with blood in the nineteenth round he was asked by the referee if he could continue and shook his head."
Jack Johnson defended his Colored heavyweight title against Australian West Indian Peter Felix koing him in 1 rd.InAustralia!

The West Indies are in North America. The only guys who fought for the Colored title were black guys from North America, as I said. But thanks for playing.

As I told the other guy, only North American blacks fought for the Colored title.

    That's it, Liver Shot.

Sorry.Felix was a naturalised Australian, as was Jackson. So according to you they would not have been eligible to fight for the title. You later said challengers had to live in North America, and while Jackson did for a time ,Felix never did!

    Absolute nonsense.

Peter Jackson wasn't from North America. Not a requirement even slightly for the title.

The liver is to the right of the stomach, the heart is to the left of the chest, any punch landing "just under the heart ,"will therefore not land on the liver.Fitzsimmons gave numerous interviews after the ko,he always said it was a shot under the heart and never claimed or described it as a liver shot.No point in prolonging the obvious.
Back to the Colored Title,Peter Jackson was the British Commonwealth Champion he was able to fight Slavin for this crown because he was an Australian citizen and therefore qualified..He also fought Joe Goddard for the Australian title, something for which he would not have been eligible had he been a citizen of a North American country.
Peter Felix was the Australian Champion, an Aussie citizen ,and never fought outside the country.

Its existence gave the non-c titles less weight, since a world title wasnt the whole worlds, just a subsection of it.

    The Caribbean is North America.

Apparently, none of you have access to a map?

And it was a requirement to fight for the title, because only black men from North America fought for it.
