Upsets that big should always merit a rematch IMO.

    I would say yes.

He had been a dominant champion for a long time, and is a clear standout among the available contenders.

Not just for the 2 reasons mentioned above, but because it was such a lousy performance from Wlad merits a rematch.
You can't expect he'll be as bad or even worse as last weekend, so a very big chance he beats Fury in the rematch.

Yep. He let himself and many others down in a massive way last weekend. Not in losing but the way he lost, mainly the way he wasnt prepared to put himself in harms way to try win a fight he must of known he was losing.

After being so dominant in this sport for so long i couldnt grumble at a rematch.

He absolutely does. Even if a rematch clause wasn't put into the initial contract, his longstanding dominance in the division alone should warrant him the rematch.

Obviously his performance was subpar, but it happens in boxing all the time and champions of his ilk like to chalk it up to a "bad night in the office." I'm not too sure about that, but given his length of reign I think he's owed the immediate chance to try and win his titles back.

Well it's in the contract for one. It's fair enough for a former champ to demand a rematch when getting upset so it's understandable. Can't really envision how Wlad makes this more competitive but we'll see.

    Of course he does;

He's been the champ for 9 1/2 years
He was below par and it wasn't a wide loss (although the right man certainly won)
    It's in the contract
    Who else is more deserving?

if he deserves a rematch??? Given the first fight and how it went why wouldn't he deserve a rematch ?? given his long reign and the fact that neither fighter barely did anything

it's not like he got thoroughly outboxed or soundly thrashed in the first fight. Neither one of them did hardly anything at all and the winning effort by Tyson was not impressive at all

Some say you have to "take" a title from a champion and granted Tyson won, but he did not "take" the title as he barely landed any good shots. But he did legitimately win yes

    Bring on the rematch

He did not get thoroughly outboxed

As I saw it he just prevented Wlad from being effective against him with his distance and reach. Tyson was not exactly what I would call offensively effective. What he did that won the fight was negate Wlads offensive efforts. Tyson landed very little of his own especially for winning a world championship

    But that's just my Opinion

Wlad will be knocked out if it's at Wembley. He will totally freeze not having everything his own way

YES, his performance was listless but he wasn't dominated.

    Based on his performance? No
He threw 60 punches during the entire fight. Fortunately for him he has a clause in the contract
