One of my all-time favorites, fantastic cast, well written, a joy to watch.

As you can see in this video. Wlad knows how to throw an effective uppercut. However... the way that Wlad has learned how to control the distance so greatly... he has no use for it. I am sure that if he gets into the position where it has to be throw, he will throw it.

That's a good career compilation of all the non straight punches he's thrown.

In fact, that was all the non straight punches he threw in his entire career.

The early days of his career, he had good hooks, but, unfortunately, later, he has stopped the use of hooks. Maybe he just does not need to use the entire arsenal

The uppercut is too risky in Steward's book and Wlad has other pretty damn well polished weapons so he uses a small but highly effective arsenal. But he does throw an uppercut every now and then.

does it hurt being so ******ed :nut remind of what punch knocked out chambers in his last fight or austin for that matter. How many times did he knock down barrett with a hook knocked down Mercer with a hook Byrd...

and here is a highlite of some of his older fights but hey cant expect you to have a clue didnt you say Ruiz had quicker hands the Wlad?

Apparently you didn't see the Ibriganov fight, where Wlad looked like a damn fool trying to throw uppercuts.

Not to mention the fact that instead of bending his body down which he is incapable of doing, Wlad drops his hands, and leaves himself wide open for a counter punch.

It's no great wonder why he doesn't throw any uppercuts. And I don't know what you're talking about with Ruiz as I don't watch him fight.

Yes, Wlad throws hooks occasionaly, but rarely.

When you are as tall as he is why would you bend down? Also wlad does throw uppercuts but just when there appropriate if they stay at the end of his punches why would he let them inside to throw an uppercut?. Thompson, Peter, Brock just to name a few made it on the inside and were tagged with hooks uppercuts as well as 1-2 On the Ibragimov fight sultan was doing everything in his power to stay away he was leaning down out of range trying to get Wlad to overextend himself, Was it a boring fight yes but quite a bit of that blame rest's on Iggy's strategy.
Really he how many heavys has he knocked out with hooks? probably 15 to 20 either yuou or streets of gold cant remember for sure who was saying Ruiz had quecker hands then Wlad? Also if wlad leaves himself so open to a counter punch why is it that no one in what 5-6 years has been able to tag him regularly?

Yeah i wish he was more offencive minded like he was before steward but its hard to knock his sucess since then he has been dominating the best and even has his two most serious opponents too scared to get into the ring with him.... Seriously though he threw with mean inentions then.

He used it twice in tompson fight. Once in peters. He didn't develop the punch because he is too good on outside.

If he's thrown anything other than a left jab, right cross, and an occassional left hook in his last 10 fights I haven't seen it.

Last time I saw him throw a powerful uppercut was against Ray Mercer while he was trying to finish him off against the ropes. I haven't seen him throw that wide an array of punches ever since.
