I think so ....if that punch that landed in the 5th round would have landed about 3 -4 inches lower on Tonys chin ..he would have been hurt bad ...that punch changed the whole fight and moved his head like it was not even there ...... he was very lucky it hit him on the cheek bone ..... and not on his jaw ...

I dont think so. Most of his Ko's are after 5 rounds and he needs a decent amount of room to throw it meaning he has to load up for it.

Shavers and Foreman could KO a guy with a punch from a few inches away in the first 4 rounds usually so I would tend to think they hit harder. But Wlad is in the top heavyweight punchers.

Wlad is the hardest puncher in boxing right now...period. he has ATG power. Definitely behind Foreman, Dempsey and Shavers. But top 5-7 for sure. That is nothing to sneeze at that is a big mother****er who hits hard!

Watch the Charles Shufford KO. Dude was about 3 inches away and not really hurt when Wlad put his lights out with one punch.

Tyson most certainly does NOT hit harder than Wlad. He is a combination puncher for christ sake :patsch

The impact of the 5th round right hand was awesome. It was very similar to the one he dropped Byrd with in the 5th round of their rematch.

You're right actually I put Tyson in there by mistake. Punch for punch Wlad is stronger.

But who knows about Mago? And how do you think Wlad stacks up against someone like Bowe?

No he wasn't, he was as clean a one punch KO guy as the sport's ever seen. Stop buying into what other people say and go watch his fights.

I think Wlad is top 5, maybe even top 3.

Let's consider how big he is. 6'6" 250 lbs behind his powerful right hand. Anyone who gets hit flush by that punch will probably not get up.

The ATG heavyweights were smaller men and they fought smaller men compared to modern heavyweights. If Dempsey was active today, he'd be a cruiser and would not pack a punch like Wlad.

Wow, I didn't realise how good Haye's chin was until I read this thread.
