I have yet to see him fight back when dealt with adversity inside the ring. :conf

Wlad should have been disqualified for excessive holding against Peter. The referee let him off the hook.

I don't think Wlad's chin is glass.. It is average... He would not have reigned so long ay HW with a glass chin.

You need your eyes checked, then. He powers through adversity in the ring all the time. In the last 5 years, he's been hurt by Haye, Wach to fight through it beat them handily, frustrated by Jennings earlier on to adapt and win handily. By clearly the Peter fight is his hallmark fight. That's the fight where he could have gone down to final ruin, kd'd three times, could have just given up at any time and lesser fighters would have. Instead, went right back to it and dominate the other rounds enough to win. That was really the turning point and most important fight of his career in many ways. If you can't appreciate that, your just not being rational.

Peter should of been DQ'd for rabbit punches a much more serious offence yet you are ok with him not being right.. for that matter Lewis should of been dq'd half a dozen times and Ali... man half of his fights in the 70 should of been DQ's right...:yep

Wlad went into survival mode after Peter dropped him in the 10th round. All he did was hold for the remainder of the bout. The referee did not enforce the rules in the ring that night. Fortunately for him, he hasn't gone through any real adversity after his first fight with Peter.

It's definitely not good, but it's better than most people give him credit for.

Great post!! I feel the same way. In fact, I tuned in for a brutal Sam Peter KO. When the 12th round ticked away, I swear I turned to my wife and said "That was a crossroads, I'm tellin you this guy is not losing for a long time...".
Granted, by a long time I assume I meant like 8 fights over 3 years or something, not this rediculous historic steak he has established.
At any rate, Wladimir truly made me look like I know sh!t about boxing :)

People will always find a way to irrationally hate a man and find something to criticise. There's never been a heavy that's dominated as long as Wlad, so people look for literally anything to count him out and discredit him.

Nothing but clutching at straws and being too emotionally attached to another grown man who actually fights and competes in a sport you just observe.

Exactly. Everyone would have freaked out in his shoes, he was a single kd away from the fight being stopped. He kept his composture, ducked shots, moved well, countered.

In the following round he came back stronger than ever, pushing like an animal.

What about the fights he lost? He never, ever, stopped getting up. He was always on his feet when the fights got stopped- all tkos, not a single ko.

You saw a man determined to die in the ring. That's Wlad. He may not had preparation, training, respect for the sport. But he sure as hell has a TON of hearth, that's unquestionable really.

Um, he was lying face-first on the canvas in the Sanders fight when the ref stopped it.
He was down 4 times in 3 minutes and 47 seconds...and laughably you try and spin it into 'oh it was not a Ko.'
Listen, without the ref's merciful intervention, Wlad would have been carried out of there on a stretcher if he was lucky.
    At least be honest...
