11 times. Additionally, he has fought 67 fights.

Go back to another Mayweather thread.

Wilder was knocked out in the amateurs wearing head gear.

Wlad had 140 amateur fights and never got knocked out.

Wich is the same as Joe Frazier, but he fought only 37 times. :yep

Patterson was down 20 times (once from a rabbitpunch) in 64 fights. In addition he got stopped early 3 times (3rd, 1st, 1st) and fought 3/4 guys under 200lbs.

We had Bruno, Morrison, Schmeling, L. Spinks, Moorer, Hide, Johansson and a whole lot more with pretty feeble chins of who most fought much smaller men. Not to mention the early days of the HW title when it was merely a circus attraction.
Wlad doesn't even come close to having the worst chin in history.

Let's also not forget Primo Carnera who (by admission of his OWN manager) regularly was dropped to the floor in sparring by journeymen sparring partners who were 50 lbs lighter than him when "getting lightly tapped on the chin". That's the definition of a true glass jaw.

he has a weakish chin, but its not appalling, you cant make minor world defences with an appalling chin (witness how long herbie hide lasted).

to wlads credit hes not packed in boxing completely like some, he merely ran away from those who are good enough to kill/did kill him in the ring, instead wlad merely changed tracks, not fighting those dangerous enough to hurt him, and working on his defences skills so that those who usually cant hurt him, never will when he fights them.

and he stuck to the plan and it worked so far.

Who has Wlad not fought who was dangerous?

If you bring up Vitali, Ruiz or Valuev we know you're trolling.

largely they aren't dangerous. Starting with the last Pulev and Lepai, both jokes, you can go back as far as you want from there.

    Haye was an exception.

maybe we should think about the word dangerous.one definition is a thing that may cause injury or pain. this from Webster's New World Dictionary. injury or pain? Wonder if Brigg's felt any injury or pain when he was in the hospital after fighting Vitali. Nonsense.

    At least 12 times,

4 against Sanders, 3 Peter, 2 Brewster, once Williamson, once Purrity (possibly twice!!), and once earlier in his career and I haven't revisited earlier fights, probably more!!

Kovalev was knocked out in 1 round with headgear against a bum. :deal

Wilder was never knocked cold. :hi:

it is odd how he has fallen to so many weak journeymen/retiree lvl guys, it is the weakest set of exmaples by a dominant champion.

but hes still doesn't give up, and hasn't really been koed stone cold (though shot2shyte retired failure sanders was about to do it to him within seconds of the fight starting).

despite his weak chin, wlad always tries, you gotta give him credit for coming back from getting beaten up by so many bumz.

even more impressive is his fan support. if any other prime champ got destroyed by 3 nobodies then fans would shed their hero fast. but klitfans seem to stick by him regardless of how low he is brought.

Neither was Wlad. Lets make it clear: Wilder chin isn't good, neither is Wlad. It's a weakness of both fighters. I tell you the difference though:

Wilder doesn't know how to protect his chin. Wilder has no relexes, no jab, no defense work. Wilder allowed a C class journeyman like Molina to wobble him multiple times. That should NEVER happen if you know your chin isn't good.

See where I am going with this? Wlad learned his chin is weak so he adapted to a style that takes his chin out of harms way as much as possible. Wilder isn't showing any of that. He seems arrogant and unable to learn. He's a KO waiting to happen.

this is very true, he learned to avoid being hit, with technique and opponent choice.
