I don't care who need who tbh. I just think that boxing needs its flagship division to sort itself out. Since when do fight fans care about money and crap. I just want to see the fight. Hopefully we still get to see it, somehow. Its boxing that's losing here not Haye or Wlad, they are minted.

I think that Haye needs it more for the fact that his whole reason for going up to heavyweight was to challenge the Klitschkos, but boxing is the one who needs this most along with Mayweather and Pacquaio.

    Haye needs Wlad.

Haye isn't the one whos dominated the division for several years cleaning out everybody but a mouthy pissant.

let's have it right. out of the two, wlad is the one who has a chance of crashing the top 10 list. a victory over haye, coupled with a handful more defences might just do it.

haye, even if he beat both brothers, would only be seen in the top 30 somewhere, if that. so his legacy in the world scene won't differ much.

so wlad has the most to gain. add haye to his wins over peter, byrd, chagaev and ibragimov and you have a pretty decent top 6 victories, coupled with decent defences over thompson, chambers, brock, brewster.

so yes, due to the above reason, wlad has the most to gain. a victory over haye might not be his best, but considering the circumstances it will easily be one of his top 3.

and as for this wlad cleaning out business, he hasn't done. most notably omitting

    vitali
    haye (to date)
    briggs
    ruiz
    valuev
    maskaev
    arreola
    adamek
    povetkin

i'm not saying he has ducked any of them (let's not get onto the debacles with haye and povetkin) but we cannot say he has cleaned out. he is the most dominant champ yes, but he has nowhere near cleaned out.

in the spirit of simplicity and ******ation on behalf of the topic starter, I'm going to plummet down to the level of thinking of the amoeba

    To live, do you need:

    (A) your heart
    or
    (B) your lungs

This site is full of simpletons

Looking at the state of the division, BOTH need each other. However, if you look at it logically Haye definitely needs Wladimir. Wladimir has reigned for far longer in the division and holds two championship belts.

Haye isn't confident otherwise the fight would had already happend.
Sultan Ibrgimov was young, athletic, confident and a champ too but did this fight anything great to wlad's career?

Beside Solis and Adamek Haye may be the best available opponent for the Klitschkos but if Wladimir K'o him in a boring fight i'dont think he it would do
    that much for Wlads career.

  10. Haye needs Wlad. Whether he knows that or not is a different story.

And the whole retirement thing with Haye is total grandstanding bull****. If he really does retire he made the biggest career mistake I've ever seen. He's a young guy and a very good heavyweight. Even if he did get KTFO by a Klitschko, he stands the chance at taking over the division when the Klitschkos are gone, which is coming sooner than later.

Haye needs to shut the **** up and make the fight.

I think the answer is obvious with the Adamek fight. The Klitschko's have other options for big money fights but Haye doesn't.

This is the truth. :good The main reason being that Wladimir is already considered the #1 Heavyweight in the World, Haye is just another "also ran" paper belt holder. ****, Haye isn't even ranked #2, Vitali is.................

everyone knows Wladimir will never fight Vitali.
Briggs and Ruiz belongs to the 90th and are way past it since 2005
A Wladimir Ruiz fight would be boring also

Valuev ducked Klitschko and is injured now

Waldimir beat Peter and Peter beat Maskaev

Areola was Beaten by Vitali and isn't considered as a worthy oponent for Wladimir now.

Povetkin and Haye are ducking the Klitschkos

There are only Solis and Adamek left. If Vitali beat Solis and Wladimir beats Adamek they have either ko'ed or scared out all contenders

This fight has very little gain for wlad, to say he beat a great cruiserweight will not mean anything on a heavyweights resume. it is crazy to believe so, unless he took the time like holyfield to build a resume. Hayes beats wlad, an he can retire, an be happy. No doubt wlad moves on, an gains the title again, just adding the victory.

An my guess, is if he does beat wlad, he will retire the next day, an laugh at those rematch clauses.......

Wlad victory would be before the 4th

Wlad does not need Haye. He needs WBA belt though. He can take it from Haye if he can get him in the ring. If he cannot get Haye in the ring then he will take it form whoever holds it when Haye retires.
