Dont think Banks said to Wlad do not throw right hand at all.
WLad is to blame and no one else!!!
Lennox vs Vitali is great example how you DEFEND your belts, plan A doesnt go your way you fight to keep them, WLad simply does not have heart in him, as funny as it seems to say that about world HW champion its true, he is physically very gifted and with that he accomplished so much but his mental toughness and heart is average at best...after watching him being OK with losing his belts i have no doubt in my mind Lennox knocks him out 4 times out of 5, Vitali also beats him, seriously cant remember champion losing belts as easy as he did...
Just watch WLad vs Chambers, he has mental issues he didnt listen to EManuel also, it came down to Emanuel yelling at him like he is child to make him attack Chambers, he has mental issues when trainer like Emanuel has to beg you to attack while your opponent is not dangerous at all, it tells a lot about WLad.

That was sound advice, what are you new to the sport? If you can't hit the head, you go for the body....slow down that movement, get him to drop the hands, then you can get the head :patsch

Banks was saying the right things, just not saying them with enough urgency and emotion to rile up anything....

That, and Wlad just doesn't listen....even when Emmanuel got onto him a few times he barked back "Relax Emmanuel, I will try..." He treats his trainers like employees, not authority figures :-( if he's not going to listen, why have them in the corner?

I've long said that Banks and Wlad was not a good combo.

    BULL**** !

Wlad doesn't go to the body often. And Fury was very mobile. This advice was junk.

Look--A trainer's job is to know his fighter's strengths and weakness, and tell him what he needs to do to adjust, NOT tell him something he isn't very good at.

Secondly a trainer needs his fighters respect and should be able to inspire confidence in his man. I say very little of that from Banks.

Steward was able to get Wlad to adjust because he knew he so well and earned respect. Banks was along for the ride as a pupil of Stewart.

Better advice would have been throwing at least 30 jab's around. I don't care if some miss. When Fury circles, step forward and nail him with a hook. And when Fury has his hand behind his back, step forward and throw quick 1-2.

You can put a money on a great race horse and most of the time he's not needed, but every now and then a master jockey is needed to get his horse out of trouble early or midway through the race. Banks does not rate with the best today, and is no where near Steward.

:patsch Dude if fighter is mobile you go to the body, are you crazy, just like Canelo did vs Lara you slow down movement by going to the body especially if you cant find a target upstairs!!!

Not when you fighter seldom throws body shots and is worried about counters. Commit to body shots vs a constantly moving target from the outside ( Where Wlad is best ) is **** poor advice.

Stepping forward with your guard up, then firing straight and powerful punches was needed. If Fury circles your way, nail him with the hook. Banks didn't say that...and if he did I did not hear it. Which is why I want to read what he said.

:rofl:patsch find me one trainer that confirms that lol, dude its basic knowledge if someone moves to much and you cant find the target you go to the body to slow him down.
