Just got through watching Samual Peter dispatch Oleg Maskaev. Huge shots landed by both men that I could feel from my own bed. Samual needs to get into better shape of he's going to fare better against Wlad the next time around. He was extremely flat footed in there.

Nevertheless, I hope they make the fight soon.

Last time it went the distance and klit was down. So I think people would really like to see a rematch. Besides I think this is arguably an improved version of peter, though he still needs to get into better shape.

yeah, I think he does. Peter is WBC champ now, and is considered a top five guy. Plus, like you say, Peter sent Wlad to the canvas a couple of times a couple of years ago. I would say that if they do not meet again, and Peter beats a top ten guy or two in the next year, Wlad will be judged as having some unfinished business in the future.

Both men have improved and we need to unify, but I see Don King looming so Peter will fight Vitali but Vitali better get a tune up hes been off for what 4 years....King dont wan to unify he never did since the days of Holmes and he is the one who created the Alphabet titles in other countrys outside of the Rico enterprise laws

I completely disagree with the whole HBO philosophy that thinks there is now some sort of mandate for Vladimir Klitschko to fight Peter. I do not think Peter is much if any better than he was when they fought the first time. I think Steward is hyping Peter so that when Vlad beats him yet again he'll get more credit. Vlad beat him the first time, and I don't see anything new that makes me think the result will be any different. If anything, I think Vlad wins even more easily the second time, possibly by knockout. Peter's defense and chin is quesitonable at best. He is slow as molasses, keeps a really slow pace, gets fatigued quickly. He's basically a strong clubber. Sure he has a puncher's chance against Vlad, but that's about it.

In this curent era which I like to call the Tittle Era as oposed to the Championship Eara. Adding another tittle usualy helps a legacy. So yes beating Peter would help W.Klitchiko's legacy.

yeah, I can't see the fight happening for at least a year. If Vitali shows up healthy (and sorry VK fans, in recent history that is a very big if) he will surely want to fight or two behind him before facing Peter. Wlad probably won't fight the WBC champ if there is a chance that his older brother will be doing it, regardless the opponent. Peter will most likely then take a fight with Ruiz next, since unification seems to never be an option for HW fighters, especially on a first defense.

Wlad will most likely fight Povetkin or Thompson in the next year (when I think he should fight both and seriously show up Chagaev as not wanting to fight).

If both fighters stay unbeaten, I would say that the fight will happen in about 12-18 months.

Could very well be Wlad's last fight.

    True,

He does make Goerge Foreman look like Hector Camacho with a jet pack. That's about how slow Peter really is. He was very flatfooted tonight, and was nailed by Maskaev often. I don't see a lineal champion in Peter at all.

Wlad already owns two belts, and has a win over another currently belt holder in Peter. Essentially this is three belts.

I just saw Peter vs Maskeav. Peter was at his best in his first fight, but seems to have regressed a bit, while Wlad has improved since. If they meet again, I think Wlad knocks him out. I would rather see Wlad fight the winner of Chagaev vs Valuev.

I think it will since Sam is hot stuff in the HW's right now. For Wlad to beat him and take his belt would be good.

Then, I'd like to see Wlad-Valuev should he win the belt back. The two giants going for all the marbles.

I hope Valuev doesn't win the belt back. He's really terrible to watch. A good punishment for criminal offenders is to strap them into a seat in front of a big screen and make them watch Valuev vs Ruiz over and over again. Suicide rates in prison would go up drastically.

the way i see it ou are having to invest in your wins.

by beating a world champ thats good. but beatign a guy then that guy then becomes champ improves alot of your credablility.

mahfood is only a world class fighter becuase she knocked out ann wolfe.
an wolfe being possibly the greatest female fighter of all time.

it's who you beat and what they do that shows you how great a fighter is.
this is a reason why i think gomez has a bigger chance than usual of beating cotto with that kind of record becuase of his early career process.
