Doesnt look like Campbell-Casamayor will happen..

Good. This fights already been done, I'd like to see Campbell take on Guzman and Casamayor take on Juan Diaz.

 

Casa already beat Nates ass so why the need for a do over? No need.

 

Well . . . a better chance for Campbell/JMM to happen.

 

This fight needs to happen almost as much as Cotto-Mayweather needs to happen.....If it doesnt it's bad for boxing

I want it to happen just so Casa finally looses the ring/lineal title or atleast proves it still belongs to him. Atleast its Casa turning the fight down, that way no major belts would be stripped. I dont see why Casa would turn it down though, he beat Nate before he thinks he can do it again, if he does it again he will be the WBO/WBA/IBF/Lineal/Ring champ....cant put yourself in a better position for a supermoney fight with the soon to be WBC champ.

I don't know about that, Warrior. Casa just won by TKO against a pretty good fighter in one of the best fights of the year. Granted, he's not what he used to be but "shot" seems kind of harsh, don't you think?

 

its because the guy casa fought to and won against by TKO was severely overrated and hype. The helmet entrance was good but he would need that helmet to win:nut

 

The people from Campbell's promotional group who post out (punchout is it?) were pretty open about expecting Casa to decline this fight.

I'd love to see it happen but...guess not.

 

Campbell has indicated previously that should the eventuality arise in which Casamayor declines the fight, he will fight whomever the WBO declares to be his next mandatory. That seemingly will be either Amir Khan or Joan Guzman. I don't see Frank Warren allowing that kind of step up for the young prospect and hence we may have a good chance of seeing a very intriguing match between Campbell and Guzman.

While I would prefer the Casamayor/Campbell fight for all the marbles, seeing the Guzman fight would be a solid consolation.

There are other fights I'd rather see than this one. I think Casamayor-Diaz is a much better fight than this one. There are so many good fighters around 135 that both guys are going to be in meaningful fights even if its not with each other.

 

If Casa does go through with the Diaz fight who gets Campbell then ?
