Doesn't Povetkin have to be ranked higher than the likes of Wilder, Fury, Ruiz etc?

Career entirety; the best of all active HW's clearly.

I've long been saying, he is underrated from a historical sense in the HW division. Ranking all the HW's ever, Povetkin shows up. Not top 25 for sure but not quite as far off as I feel many might think.

"Do you believe in magic? ...Because sometimes we can bring back those that have left us. When they talk about you, they'll be talking about his son, the heavyweight champion of the world!"

I butchered it but if you know what I'm talking about, you'll get it. Teddy did do at least one great thing for us.

    Do you even watch boxing?
Why would Boytsov be on the same level as the others you mentioned?

You don't know what kind of expectations Boytsov had because you're just some kid who didn't watch boxing back then.

iggy and chaggy were not bad, like pov, but most of these were better as amateurs.

not everyone translates well from ams to pros.

One of the best pep talks I ever saw. I wanted to leap out of the chair and do something heroic after that.

Lol, I'm 39 and I did watch boxing back then.
You just grouped these boxers by ethnicity or country of origin (former ussr) and not by achievements or skill set.
It's like grouping Ali, Holyfield, and Jennings.
Boytsov lost to Leapai and has no top victories in his entire career.

You’re a little dense. Boytsov was a skilled but undersized former commie heavyweight just like Povetkin, Chagaev, and Iggy. He was in the pipeline for Wlad just like Povetkin, Chagaev, and Iggy. The problem is he drank himself out of shape and lost to Lepai and then was beaten to the point of disability outside the ring before anything resembling a comeback could’ve happened.

My point is that Povetkin had better longevity than the other guys who were skilled but undersized former commie heavyweights who all turned pro around the same time.

Tell me, which impressive fighters did Wilder, Parker, Fury, Whyte, Ruiz, Chisora defeat?

Please give me 3 names for each of them.

You can look them up all by yourself. I don’t know where you came up with some of those names — Chisora? Really?

I agree Povetkin has a better resume than Chisora but is that worthy of a thread?

Whatever. So he got some but not all his stuff flushed. Yet he got caught again.

I dont like backing a proven cheat but that was alright listening to old Pov beat that cheap tesco shelf-filler hughie. good result, if strictly C level sport.

I said "Povetkin should be ranked higher than Wilder, Parker, Fury, Whyte, Ruiz etc" in my title. I looked at BoxRec thoroughly and I confirmed Povetkin has a better resume than those.

You claimed you are not impressed by Povetkin's resume. So you are saying Wilder, Parker, Fury, Whyte, Ruiz are better boxers than Povetkin? Please give evidence for your claim.
