Weight over the course of a career?

Guy weighed under 200 pounds, at 198, at one point.

Later in his career, 290 pounds.

    Hmm?

Let's wait and see what Toney gets up to by the time he retires.

Dokes was a talented chef, and greatly enjoyed his own cooking. That, right there, portended that he would eventually become very, very much larger.

Moore was down to 105 through illness and boxed at over 200 at the end of his career. If you want to get picky.

    Eric "Butterbean" Esch.
He weighed 417 pounds in his last fight. He's been as "low" as 300.

I daresay there are some fat 230 pound tomato cans who started out as bantamweights on some notable heavyweight records.

Dokes' case is pretty extreme though.

Dokes sparring with Ali on Video shows how small framed a man he was..

To watch him sizzle against Bowe at the garden in 93 was terrible........

Range of 117 pounds, that'll be quite a bar to beat.

Lionel Butler clocked in at 202 vs Riddick Bowe in March '89, then 292 vs Dan Ward in August '03. 90 pound range.

Wow, Michael Moorer has an 80 pound range...from 171 to 251. Didn't know it was that large.

For top class a fighter George Carpentier would take some beating. He won titles from Bantam to Heavy.

Look at David Defiagbon, a welterweight in 1992 Olympics....
    Heavyweight in 1996 Olympics...

Pro heavyweight contender at a solid 240..

    Walks around at 255 nowadays..

Len Harvey went from welterweight to heavyweight, achieving British championships at MW, LHW and HW after drawing for the BBBofC WW title, but this raises a question. Should we only be considering those who previously reached physical maturity before gaining their substantial amount of weight? Boxwreck.com indicates that Holmes weighed 200 pounds for Bob Mashburn after he turned 25, then Larry finished up competing around 255.

True, but I dont think he ever weighed much. He was never much more than a big middle/small light-heavy, maybe maximum he weighed was 175 or 180, if that.

He definitely had great success through a huge range of weight classes.

And the cocaine didn't help either. If he was more solid, he would've taken Stevenson in that fight they had years ago.
