The 1983 rematch between "Dokes & Weaver" in Vegas is a great WBA heavyweight title bout of the 80s that is often overlooked on the "Classic" level of title fights.... Why? Because it is not considered lineal / linear....... Larry Holmes was the true WBC heavyweight champion at that juncture...... Christ, later on that night in Vegas Holmes fought and struggled with a motivated Tim Witherspoon...... A damn good Don King event happened in Vegas in 1983..... Cheers..... OH!!! On the undercard Greg Page gave Renaldo Snipes a lesson in boxing..... May 20, 1983.... This was early PPV stuff at the time.... MR.BILL
