More like the the co-PAINe

More gruelling fight than any 10 of Dokes previous put together.

I couldn't........ ABC TV in Los Angeles only showed the replay of the '83 PPV card of "Holmes-Spoon" and "Dokes-Weaver 2," a week after the fight card occured, but they refused to air "Page-Snipes."

I was rooting for Snipes to beat Page, but I figured Page was too good of a boxer in '83 to lose against Snipes.... I've never seen the fight, but I guessed the outcome right... I saw a photo in which Page's jab closed Snipes' eye pretty good...

Anyone recall Weaver being fouled / KO'd by Tony Anthony in 1 round on ESPN back in 1984 or so.???? I saw the foul / fight, but failed to tape it...

I totally forgot that Weaver still decisioned Cooper in a fight as late as 1993...... Did that fight ever see a TV screen???

    MR.BILL:huh

    Note:

Holmes did KTFO of Weaver good in their 2000 rematch....:bbb One big right from Holmes dropped Weaver good...... DONE!

    It's on Youtube:

Perhaps not coincidentally, Weaver's chin looked like sh!t in his next fight, and in almost every big fight he had thereafter.

The years / decades are going by in 2012..... I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure that fight was also aired in the USA on ESPN back in '84...... Why? Cuz I saw it..... I failed to tape...

I mean Weaver's jab near on the bell wasn't intentional nor malicious imo, then Weaver let the guy have his full clean retalitory right hand and the guy still wasn't happy

    Gosh.

I also recall seeing Coetzee in 1982 stopping Stanley Ward inside a couple rds on ESPN...... I know Coetzee was hot and peaking then, but Ward fought like a *****.....

I'm copying "Dokes-Coetzee" of '83 onto a DVD right now... Coetzee KTFO of a lean 217 pound Dokes who does NOT appear to be all Coked out or high as a kite here in this WBA title fight held in Ohio... Oh, I'm sure Dokes partied hardy after his May 1983 draw against Weaver, but Dokes appears focused and quick fisted, but he just ran into a motivated Gerrie Coetzee who wanted it more...
