Bit lame that really..... you ought to be able to keep the British title unless you're swerving a mando.

We see too many vacant title fights at present.

Still, after this next fight win or lose I'd be surprised to see him stay at 175.

 

I thought u got to keep your Britsh title if you challenged for a world title and you only had to give up a European title if you challenged? Jason Booth keep his British title when he challenged Molitor.

 

Good point pretty sure if he won the WBO he would have to vacate but seems a bit silly to vacate just for the sake of keeping the belt active. Less champions through vacant title fights makes the Lonsdale more prestigous :deal

 

Its a ridiculous rule. If Bellew wins or loses come next month he should still be given the option of keeping and defending his belts.

 

Surely the whole point of having a British title is so the best British fighter is the British champion?

It's not the ''British fighter that isn't challenging for something else'' title, is it?

That's why I was annoyed that McDonnell just binned it and then said it was a backward step trying to win it again. Gimp.

 

Bloody hell just looking @ Crusierweight Line up and it's pretty poxy tbh. The divisions really weak IMO.
