We need this ****. Domestically I think he heavyweight division is the ****. Some of these dudes may be out of shape, but the big boned mutha****as know how to entertain. Well some of them. We got prospects like Chisora, Fury and Price. Now Sexton I don't know, maybe his chin could let him down but he wouldn't be a huge underdog against any of these dudes. You need Rogan and Audley in the mix to try and spoil the party for these young fools. Imagine the build up between Rogan and Fury. Rogan has heart. You never know what he can do. You can't have a tournament like this without Audley either, because whether you like him or not, his story is interesting. Can the mutha****a upset the odds or will he fail again?

Just make it a super six format with the following guys

    Audley
    Rogan
    Chisora
    Fury
    Sexton
    Price

    OR

you could make it a super 8 by throwing McDermott and someone else in. Maybe Sprott or someone and have a straight knockout format like the quarter finals.

I know it's not gonna happen but I'm just fantasizing here. This would be amazing if it happened.

the domestic heavyweight scene certainly is the most interesting at the moment.

He could do a Bum of the Month tour with these lot. Wouldn't have to worry about facing the Klits till the end of next year, bet he would love that :D

Audley and Rogan would be past 40 by the time of their 2nd/3rd fights....its time to move on from the old domestic HWs....I would prefer Larry O and Dallas in there if I'm honest.

I'd personally swap Audley for Dalllas. Audley's European champion if he's serious at having one last shot at the big time then he should be fighting at continental or world level . I like the look of Dallas he's a proper size 6,3 as opposed to these 7 foot dinosaurs like Fury and Price , has good power and is mobile . Not sure what his amatuer record is but unless he's hiding a glass jaw then he could be the dark horse on the domestic heavyweight scene .

Yep, the others are too inexperienced for now (or too old). The division is panning out nicely domestically at the moment.

Maloney could make his own domestic heavy tournament if he wanted to.

The role of the oldies would just be to **** up the plans of the young prospects. Not so much to see how far they can go, just to make things a bit more interesting.

I'd guess the problem would be with a tourney is that anyone who had won 3 fights at that level in 18 months to get to the semis would be very tempted to **** it off and go for a Euro or even "minor" would title shot?

not really. would rather see the winner from those 3 move onto something else instead of fighting tom dallas or david price.

Yeah in all honestly a super six style format probably would not work at this level. If you had a straight knockout format with 8 fighters it would be better. All names in a hat, have all four quarter finals on the same night, then have the two semi finals maybe 3 months later, again on the same card, then the final in another 3 months. Try and be done with it and get it all finished in less than a year.

yeh. only a 4 man straight KO tournament can work at domestic level.
