over the next 5 years which fighters do you think will dominate which weight division. name the division and the fighter you think has the best chance to dominate that division. e.g. MW- Pavlik (providing he stays)
Roman Gonzalez - 108 Juanma Lopez - 126 - 130 Danny Jacobs - middleweight (starting in about a year to a year and a half) Dawson - Light heavyweight W. Klitschko - heavyweight (for the next 3 years about) Sadly, Berto may end up dominating 147, since the other heavy hitters are all knocking each other off or on the verge of retirement. There are plenty of guys who could beat him right now, but it looks like it's about to turn into a really weak weight class.
If i were to put money on your predictions i'd deffinately pick Juanma, as for jacobs i cant comment ryt now cuz i havent seen much of him. hes deffinately a star to watch out for
- I'm going to get criticsed for this, but IMO I can see Khan dominating 140 pounds. - He makes me nervous as hell, and it could all be curtains in a flash with his jaw, but I can see light-welterweight being all his empire. - I'm a Khan fan, I admit, but I can see him getting past Kotelnik, Urango, Hatton and Torres. - I reckon he'll have to beat a certain Timothy Bradley, whom holds two belts. - It is the skill factor, you look at him and can tell he has more ability than most. It is his talent that gives him a advantage over most fighters, but everyone concentrates on his weakness, which is a perception that cannot be changed amongst fans.
Heavyweight- Wladimir Klitschko: (Probably for 3 or 4 more years) Light Heavyweight- Chad Dawson (On account of the division is weak and I don't see it getting any better, unless some Super Middleweights move up) Middleweight- Kelly Pavlik (Same thing as Dawson, the division might be a bit stronger, but Pavlik should dominate if he stays at Middleweight and doesn't move up) Light Middleweight- Paul Williams (This is a shot in the dark, but I think if Williams decides to stay in one division I think it will be Junioe Middleweight) Junior Welterweight- Timothy Bradley (He's young and talented and I think he has the tools to be the man for at least a few years) Super Featherweight- Kevin Mitchell (Darkhorse here, but I'm going with Mitchell because of the same reasons as Timothy Bradley) Featherweight- Chris John (I don't see him going up in weight and I don't see anybody in the next five years that will dethrone him, may'be if JuanMa moves up in weight he might beat him, but I'll go with the safe pick with Chris John)
Khan in reckon will always be with the top dawgs but i dont see him doing many deffenses of his title becuase sooner or later every1 gets caught. but who knows if he can improve his deffense then why not. oh and torres is one crazy ******* never bet against torres
I agree on alot of your opinions but there is a weight class to me that is becoming a joke and that is the Cruiserweight and no one has mentioned it once .. see Adamek, Steve Cuningham, The big Truck Braithwaite, Ben Flores Guillermo Jones etc. These are good Cruiserweights. But the Division realy has alot of Bums for example you have Maccarenelli, Palacios, etc. What is up with that..For example Palacios has an unblemished record who has he fought? can't realy think of a good name huh? So of course he has a great record on Paper. Maccarenelli is already to me my opinion finished..The most I can say is that the cruiserweights has had there share of greats but now its a low class division. This weekend unsure where they are supposed to fight Cunningham and The Big Truck are gonna fight. That should be a good fight. But really count how many cruiserweights that give good shows there are about 6 good fighters in the Cruiserweight Division. I say this .. some of these guys need to ether move up like Haye or Move down or even Get out. Since Haye moved up there is realy no explosive fights .. There was one a while back.. Also Bell needs to stop being so damn lazy. And to me that guy Palacios who is he ? I really never seen any of his fights I think there is one I think is on you tube..wow big screen. I looked him up his amateur career wasnt nothing impressive..I feel he is just a front guy. I see his record and Looked at who he has fought .. Lawrence chapman (bum), Luis Pineda-(Bum).,Harvey Jolly (who) Zack Page-(yawning).. Louis Azille old guy 38 yrs. old. and now he supposed to fight Manu Ntoh 41 yrs old ..what the hell is that .. I just feel that cruiserweight boxing is becoming sorry.. I Live in Miami and I cannot stand whats going on .. The cruiserweights was one of the best divisions but slowly it is becoming like the WWE entertainment .. bring on the Big show and John Cena.. thats just my opinion,,Hey Adamek, USS, BIG TRUCK, FLORES clear out all these bums from your division make room for some competition in your division....and lets say bye bye to all these bums.... a real cruiserweight fan cruiserweight division..This just my opinion
cruiserweight is most likely not gona have a dominant fighter. to me there gona be playing pass the pascel with the titles for next few years becuase its a supose to be a "punchers division"
I heard that but there aren't too many great punchers in that weight.. David haye was the only one that gives you a show of explosive proportion.. He moved up the rest to me now.. boring only one fight a few months ago was a good one .. forgot who they were so imagine .. But the cruiser divion shuld be the snoozer division
I think Brickhaus' picks are pretty accurate, though I think Gamboa is going to have something to say about Juanma's ascendancy towards the top of the 126-130 and P4P rankings.
