    It bemuses why anyone has any expectations of Wilder to be anything other than crude, vulgar, and idiotic. He can't build interest in fights based on his rubbish resume so he's tried to go down the route of notoriety - and looking even more idiotic in the process.

    Can't see what you posted, I'm guessing it was the whole thing about him wanting to cripple Breazeale in front of his own children and his children looking him in the eye when he does it or something.

    Yeah it's crass and callous, Wilder isn't exactly Mr Nice guy. He talks a lot of trash and BS, but while misguided I doubt he really believes in what he is saying, he's just trying to hype the Breazeale fight and while I don't agree or condone what he says you can't take much of what he says seriously.

    Why is he saying anything if he's not enforcing the fight until next year? Typical Wilder, call outs , pushed back mandatories, unwilling to sign agreed contracts..etc..etc..

    I stand by those posts. In Joshua`s relatively short career he has done way more than Wilder has in his 40 fights and he doesn`t resort to making despicable comments referring to other fighters kids. Wilder is a piece of ****.

    I glad what ever it was is taken down..

    Yes its boxing but they are also professional athletics who in most other more popular professional sports understand their public perception is important..

    The reason why AJ is popular is because he make sure his public persona is main stream friendly (its irrelevant what he is really like) so he can appeal to the common person and normal society values..

    Wilder seems to want to appeal to wannabe ganstas and there are a few on here who lap it up but it is never going to get you main stream appeal because the majority of society are put off...

    People wonder why boxing isn't that popular any more because society has moved on and these guys are still acting like it hasn't..
