Compared to the people he fought before he certainly is decent. Izu has only fought complete garbage so far.
The scary thing about this is that it's on the Wilder undercard.....potentially setting up a Wilder vs Breazeale bout if they they both win....sigh
Wilder it seems will do anything to avoid facing a top 5 opponent, so I would have to say yes he does in fact want to face Breazeale (to avoid tougher competition).
The average PPV punter Eddie has marketed AJ's last couple of fights at could have literally gone full McGregor at their announcement. "Who da fook is dat guy?"
Breazeale is a decent B-Level HW - and, I know, that's feint praise I damned him with right there. I actually think he's AJ's best opponent to date - Yeah, I know, there's that feint praise thing again. Without knowing too much about Izu Ugonoh, other than he has a good dig on him and seems pretty mobile too, I think this match-up will be competitive...
Breazeale is no world beater, but he is tough. It took Joshua more effort then most thought and he was very lucky against Amir Mansour. It will be a true test for Ugonoh who I rate as a top prospect.
Didn't he break Mansour's jaw and make him bite through his tongue? I wouldn't call it luck, and this is a good fight for Izu. I hope he does well, he is athletic and has a fan friendly style which will be good for the division (unless he becomes too defensive when he step's up like Parker)
Lol AJ fans will tell you that Dominic is one of the greatest fighters in history to build up their hype job hero AJ. Breazeale is just a big slow lumbering bum who would of got stopped by Amir Mansour if Amir didn't bite through his own tougue. Breazeale isn't anything special and neither is Izu.
