2 Mythical Matchups in 1 thread:

In the built up to Wilder-Fury 2 a journalist asked Fury what he thinks about his opponents vs Wilder´s opponents in 2019.

Fury stated he believes Schwarz would beat Breazeale and Wallin would beat Ortiz.
Reason: They are both younger and fresher.

Well, of course it would be ridicolous to see my fellow german Schwarz as favorit or on par against Breazeale, but what s about Ortiz and Wallin?

Breazeale will stop Schwarz, but since Wallin is a southpaw like Ortiz this one could be more interesting.

Do you think maybe Otto could give Luis trouble?

I think Ortiz v Wallin would be interesting because of Wallin`s work rate, but Ortiz is more skilled than Fury so should be able to out-point Wallin, Wallin v Breazale would be interesting too because Wallin hit Fury far more than Breazale would be able too.

Offensive wise, Fury`s offense is pretty basic besides his hand speed.

It is far from basic, he mixes it up and is unorthodox with it, he throws double jabs, feints, jabs to the body, lead left hooks, he changes the speed of his punches, he even switched stance whilst in the middle of a combination in his last fight and continued to throw punches

    Breazeale knocks Schwartz's head off.

Ortiz rarely loses a round. Wallin has limited power. Ortiz would win lopsidedly. If Malik Scott and Thompson got nowhere with Ortiz, Wallin probably would also go nowhere.

I still don't know what to make of post comeback Fury. It's hard to say if he's all that, or if he's just exposed Wilder's flaws.
