Got to say I didn't see this one coming - particularly with no obvious marque main events for the two December shows (likely Montreal and Abu Dhabi) and the glut of title fights around that time (this makes it four in three weeks). What's more, putting it on a non-numbered show like an afterthough is hardly going to do any wonders for the prestige of the title or Cruz's drawing power and of course it reopens the whole debate about the quality of UFC 138's main event. Maybe its tied in with their new television deal (NBC Sports/Versus is the most likely destination for the UFC), maybe this what they offered Versus to close down the WEC or perhaps they're doing this as a makegood after the last two versus shows underperformed. But it certainly seems very strange.
REALLY great fight in the making here, cant wait. These guys got more bounce to them than a coked up kangaroo. Should be non stop from beginning to the end
