no one else found this funny . King must be really frustrated with not getting enough tv dates

  3. Haha i read the same **** on fightnews.com. Sounds to me like Don King wanted some fightin' words and all he got was respect between the two. Respect don't sell fights!

I likr to see respect between two fighter, although if there is a known rivalry then i like to see fireworks eg Mayorga and just about everyone he has faced

A fall from grace for Don King he hardly has any big name fighters in his stable.

no which is why he wants to turn Alexander into the next judah. he apparently has been talking alot for Alexander. how Khan is afraid of him, how bradley ran scared. but it' seems that it's not in alexander nature to act that way. King is despately seeking a charasmatic fighter who eighter is very exciting and can punch or has mouthpiece:yep.

i can here him now trying to encourage Alexander. "come on son, IT's time to put the fight in fighter" don't let this man disrespect you." it's time to put some Hussel behind that muscle, put the box in box office".........." your time is now." "Only in america"

I'd have to agree, respect only sells when both or either of the fighters have massive followings, ala Manny, Ricky, Oscar.

Otherwise, they will have to play the heel, ala Mayweather, Mayorga to get any kind of payday.

If Alexander gets sloppy, and gets caught clean, he could be in serious trouble in this one, but not as serious as Don King.
then he'll need to bring back tyson lol

Sounds like King is worried about Urango! He seems as though he is pretty tense about this fight.

King is right. Boxing is as much about an exiting person as it is boxing skills as far as casual fans go. The purists like to see boxing skills and personality is a bonus, but to do Mike Tyson numbers? You have to have good and evil.
