In a Don King 'press release' on December 11, 1975.

The promoter had both Champions signed for a May 1976 bout.

Don King had signed Roberto Duran to a '3-Bout Package' in October 1975.

The first bout was Roberto defending his WBA Lightweight Championship
versus Leonico Ortiz on December 10, 1975.

Then, Roberto was supposed to fight Angel Mayoral in February 1976, in
    Las Vegas.

Roberto Duran and 'Kid Pambele' were 'pencilled in' for June or July 1976.

Following Roberto Duran's title defense over Leonico Ortiz in Puerto Rico at
    the Roberto Clemente Stadium,,,,,

Don King said that Roberto had signed a 3-Bout contract in October 1975, agreeing
to have '2' Lightweight Title defenses, then to take on Antonio Cervantes for his
WBA Light-Welterweight Championship, for most likely a June or July 1976 bout.

The fight purses for Duran and Cervantes was set for $350,000 each, but the amount
could change, depending on the venue location.

Don King also had a deal with Roberto, that if he scored a 'knockout win', Don King
would give him $10,000 in cash, by handing him '10' new $1000 bills.

Don King was paying the 25 1/2 year-old Duran a ($125,000) fight purse fee for his WBA
    Championship Defenses.
