Roberto Duran and 'Kid Pambele' were 'pencilled in' for June or July 1976.

The fight purses for Duran and Cervantes was set for $350,000 each, but the amount could change, depending on the venue location. Don King also had a deal with Roberto, that if he scored a 'knockout win', Don King would give him $10,000 in cash, by handing him '10' new $1000 bills.
