He's not exacly broke. Don King's dominance fell with the HW division IMO. Tito was his key smaller fighter and he met the end in Bernard Hopkins and later Winky Wright. DLH forming Golden boy was the last straw. King was good for Boxing, but bad for Boxers
i know he isnt broke....he is too smart for that....but to go from ali - frazier, mike tyson- holyfield, to Ray Austin and Bermain Stiverne? thats SAD
Man you realize he's in the top 15 for richest black ppl in America http://www.forbes.com/2009/05/06/ri...onaires-richest-black-americans_slide_12.html
He's decline mirrors the HW division's decline. This happened last Nonember via Felix Tinadad, so someone still rates him: http://www.boxinginsider.com/headlines/felix-%E2%80%98tito%E2%80%99-trinidad-gives-his-promoter-don-king-500000-birthday-gift/
naw, but I was just pointing out that he doesn't really need anymore big fighters. He's in his late 70's. I guess you could feel bad for his promotion company though
That MF is the same age as Arum. So does Arum still need big fighters? I wouldn't be surprised if he gets one more money maker before he drops dead. I still feel he made much better fights with loaded cards than anyone else. I miss his grandstanding and of course Butch Lewis, (RIP). Arum on the other hand is a boring promoter who lies even when he says hello.
