Don King on Haye v Valuev

He pretty much just confirmed that Haye needs to win by KO.

 

Haye ran from Klitsckos for a very good reason. Solis stopped Haye in amateurs and Thompson in pros.

 

He can win on points. He just needs to clearly win the fight and have very few "Hard to decide rounds" and more "Clear winning rounds" He just needs to box smart and not get tagged or fight on the inside throughout the fight.

 

Jim Twite knocked Haye out in amateurs, as well as Solis. Mock. Thompson knocked Haye out.

 

There is no shame to losing to Carl Thompson esp in his 11th fight. Thompson was a class fighter.:deal

Besides Haye says himself thats the best thing that happended to him.

 

But with Haye the chin aspect does add something to this fight. Valuev is thought to be a slapping puncher, but a man 315 pounds for 12 rounds with a guy who looks like he does have stamina and chin problems makes this fight intriguing. Haye looks like he has to stop Valuev in the early rounds. He could win a decision, but a knockout looks like the way Haye is going to win. Either way, I see a knockout in this fight.

Haye is a different fighter to the inexperienced one that gassed against the very durable Thompson over 5 years ago.

If we are to use farmboxers idiotic logic then Pac should have lost every fight after being knocked twice early in his career.

Haye will win the title tonight and farmboxer will find something else to moan about Haye.

Honestly I don't think Strikes comment were original or good at all. He insulted someone who had information he didn't like, so he put him down. If Haye is knocked out tommorow, farmboxer's comments will look like he is brilliant. I thought what farmboxer said pertained to what we are talking about.

 

Haye has a chance at beating Nick Valubum, but Haye had NO chance at beating either "K" bro........ Both Wlad and Vitali would pound Haye into the ground on way to China......... Haye knew that as well, that's why them fights fell apart........

The Vlad fight fell apart cos Sentanta went bust. I dont think even the harshest Haye critic would expcet him to fight for no TV money?

With Vitali i guess he just didnt fancy the terms which is his perogative. By the way this fight is been mentioned in the media he stands to make a lot of money and win a title. Wheres the problem?

 

If it's not a KO then it's going to have to be a Calzaghe-Lacy type of destruction. Anything less is doomed for a "hometown" (Sauerland) decision.

 

He didn't have any information I didn't like. Haye has a crap chin, but Farmboxer just picks the white guy whatever fight. He slags off black fighters regardless, every other thread used to be about RJJ being a fraud a few years back, now he slates Haye or any other talked about black fighter but says the likes of Tyson Fury are one to watch simply because they are black.

My comment to him was based on the fact that if he had watched the Solis and Thompson fights he would have seen that Haye was not KOd in either of them. He badly hurt Solis in the opening round and Solis was given a standing count, in the pro game that would not have happened and Haye would have been able to finish him.

Haye gassed on that fight and the ref stepped in because he was taking a lot of shots, but he was on his feet and not gone.

Thompson also...stopped on his feet after gassing.

So his comments were inaccurate and stupid. As always.

But yes obviously Valuev can KO Haye, in fact the odds on just betting that the fight wont go 12 are evens, which is a good shout as I don't see it ging the distance. If Haye cannot hurt Valuev he will be walked down and stopped. But I see Haye stopping him mid rounds.
