Don King stops Mayorga from makeing his MMA debut.

I can't say I'm dissapointed because this fight seemed like a farce, would have been interesting though now that I think about it. **** You Don King!

Good for King, Mayorga is out of shape, we don't need him embarrassing boxing by losing to some MMA bum. BTW, way all the hate for King? Bob Arum is far worse than King and has hurt boxing far more, in fact it can be argued that King was good for boxing.

he puts some great cards on though, but he's crooked and takes advantage of stupid boxers with no brains... i hope the card goes on anyways i want to see how a boxer does on MMA.. no matter how out of shape or shot mayorga is.. he's still an ex world class boxer and after this fight we'll have a better idea of how boxers can do in mma and vice versa..

Mayorga weighed in at 159 so it's not like he's that bad out of shape. He should be able to make 154 for his next boxing match.

 

I;m not surprised that this happened. I don't expect Mayorga to get into the ring tonight. I'll probably tune in just to see if it happens.

Florida Judge issues emergency injunction

After hearing eight hours of testimony over two days in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Broward County Circuit Court Judge Marc H. Gold today granted Don King Productions’ request for an injunction preventing Ricardo Mayorga from appearing tonight on an MMA card tonight in Fayetteville, NC. Mayorga is in Fayetteville and the MMA promoter has issued a press release stating the bout will go on as scheduled despite “Don King and a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo.” However, Gold warned from the bench, “If my orders are disobeyed, there will be serious sanctions from this court.” The judge is requiring DKP to post a $1,000,000 bond today for the order to stick.

Don King hopefully will get sick a die sometime soon. He is old and hopefully in not the greatest health. Or we could hope he chokes on a chicken wing?!! right?
