Who was greater promoter? Who of the two made greater events/shows?

Who had more influence on boxing in:
    - 70s
    - 80s
    - 90s
    - 00s

Higly interested in answers of those guys who have withessed the two since 1970s

Arum all the way. His fighters got paid what was contracted. His shows made money.

Both crooked. King put on great big-time cards from the seventies on. Overall he put on the better big events. Not that Arum didn't put on some great fights. And Arum, through his ESPN shows and others, also supported and built up guys at all levels. King would snatch guys up after they'd been built up by someone else. If a guy didn't pan out for him, the guy would become an opponent and sparring partner for his better fighters. Who's "better?" Depends on your point of view. As a businessman, I'd rather work with Arum. I think he was (slightly) less shady. But King put on many fantastic cards.

King SURE AS HELL gave us better undercards, that's for damn sure! That tips it in his favor.

Arum has notoriously cheated the public with putrid undercards.
