King has done some great work as a promoter. He has produced some major fights, he had the balls so go out, lay it on the line and make it happen. Given us some amazing shows over the years. But, his `treatment` of fighters is a totally different story...

Others could have produced great fights if King was not controlling things. Ali also was screwed by him, warned Holmes. He arrived in Jamica with Frazier, slithered towards Foreman & left with him after that victory. Here is the story he shamelessly excuses. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8qB_9Bo2fc

But he has done far worse, his ethics never improved after he killed 2 people. He is a True Sociopath. Many promoters have been corrupt, but Don King takes it to another level. He is loyal to no fighter nor principle, nothing except his fame & fortune.

    Basically a Monster.

The fact that a promoter has made a lot of big fights, does not any level imply that they were a positive thing for the sport.

You judge a promoter as powerful as King by looking at the key fights of the era that cold/should have been made, and then assessing whether they helped or inhibited them from taking place.

The key characteristic of Kings career is not the fights he was making, it is the fights that he was preventing.
