You must block and dodge punches and punch with a plan. Watch your blue meter and just don't randomly button mash.
FNR4 will have in-fighting, something no boxing game has ever had in the past, or even close... and even better punching controls, as well as a 40+boxer roster. Just with that it makes it better then Prizefighter.
Guys I'm a FNR3 a-holic and I got this today. I went from getting my ass handed to me on medium exhibition to having fun 2rd-10rd fights on champion (hard)... Best advice to someone who wants to learn this, do the career for 5-10 fights, then you should have the hang of it... basically always guard your body and use the leaning to keep your head out of harms way, the AI will go to the body alot so careful with bringing the guard up. The trickiest part is learning the timing, once you get that, it's golden. I like it better than FNR3 cause it is more simlike, but it does have flaws/glitches/drawbacks... it's much harder to box on the outside in this one because the jab and cross are real short, and you can only do power shots (non-jabs) with planted feet. Step shots are ****ing awesome though, Workiing behind a step up jab with a custom created miguel cotto is like watching the gomez fight all over again
no my cotto is custom made, but looks like he is a legit part of the game. the group of guys at the 2K forums have a ton of fantastic customs you can add... ali frazier foreman lennox corralles pbf judah mozley holyfield etc etc etc
Anybody have any cheats/codes to unlock those guys? The only guy I've found is Ricardo Mayorga. I'd love to have PBF & Lennox.
