I'm not 100% on if this impacts a potential fight or not but "One-Two" Moreno's manager is filing a lawsuit against him for attempting to negotiate with others, namely Golden Boy.

I just want to see him back in the ring again and if he doesn't fight Agbeko/Mares winner, I don't mind if he moves up to fight Arce. The old battleaxe deserves a decent payday after his efforts in winning a title again and if Donaire sparks him out, that'll be a solid achievement.

jpab19 obviously your very knowledgeable on the lighter weight classes, where would you have donaire on a current £4£ list?

*a list that included pbf although he's been inactive

Stupid move to jump ship to GBP.

I hope he really has sorted his beef out with TR. He needs to get back in the ring. His best years are being wasted.

As of now I have it like:

    1: Pacquiao
    2: Mayweather
    3: Marquez
    4: Donaire
    5: Martinez
    6: Wlad
    7: Bradley
    8: Ward
    9: Hopkins
10: Roman Gonzalez, Robert Guerrero, Mares, Mijares, Cazares, Nishioka, John, Kessler, Froch, Agbeko, Pong, Segura, Vitali, Montiel and Nkosinathi Joyi could all be up for consideration I think, it's too broad a spectru for me to pick just one. Any of those could get in, or at least just outside it anyways.

#NB: My placing of JMM/Donaire/Martinez may be controversial, but it changes on a weekly basis really. Last week I had it in reverse order, so don't get too up in my grill about it.:D

If Donaire can retain the abilities he has now for another few years he'll be guaranteed number one though.

Thank god for that! He has always been an inactive fighter as it is. Doesn't help when you have issues with your contract. No doubt they will try and get Nonito in there with Jorge Arce at Super-Bantamweight so he will be a 3 weight world champion. IMO i think he beats any Bantamweight or Super-Bantamweight in the world and that includes Rigondeaux and Nishioka. Would love to see him rematch Darchinyan or fight the winner of Mares-Agbeko.

Donaire is a cert top 5 p4p. If he's not p4p I don't know who is. He's beaten two guys that could have been top 10 p4p themselves. He's got a big skillset. Once he proved the Darchinyan result wasn't a flash in the pan, it was a no brainer to bump him up. Destroying Montiel so easily was massive.

Always 3-5 for me. As I say the Mthalane win, the Sydorenko decimation and the Martinez and Marquez wins shoul all hold weight too.

    Felt sorry for Sydorenko

Took a fearful beating in the 4 rounds it lasted. His face was not a pretty sight.

Yep Sydorenko took a horrible hiding. He is a solid fighter aswell. Nonito looked 3 weight classes above him.

Yeah I'd agree with that apart from I might get shot down for this but I would have Vitali above Wlad!!

The best thing about Donaire is how he raises his game. Lacklustre against Concepcion, okay against Marquez without setting the world alight, but against his best opponents he steps up to another gear. 2 or 3 gears maybe.

Sydorenko was slightly past his best, but nevertheless, he'd only ever been beaten in very close fights and represented a solid test for Donaire. I think his ****ing nose exploded off the final shot, it was unbelievable, blobs of blood just started pumping from his nasal cavity, an extremely unpretty sight.

Sydorenko was pretty much made to order though for a fighter like Donaire though it must be said ;)

Very much a what you see is what you get type of fighter. Good fundamentals but physically for speed, explosiveness and even size they were light years apart. He had no basis to compete in that fight with those disadvantages.
