JuanMa's ducks of Caballero or Gamboa were more egregious, IMO.

The back story and build up of Donaire-Rigo simply isn't very provocative.

Fossil Bob ought to showcase both fighters on the same card, perhaps Donaire-Arce (which is rumored to be next) and have Rigo matched against the likes of Darchinyan or Vasquez on the under.

Fossil Bob needs to put on his promoter hat and start promoting Rigo better.

Beating a guy who was so weight drained he moved up two weigjt classes for his next fight doesn't say much. Hasagawa also hadn't beaten anyone in the tournament or Moreno either.

Arce at least will be an action fight while it lasts. Rigo just gives the haters more ammo because Rigo will be there to counter. Nonito needs an Arce to get the dumb ass boxing public, which apparently includes 90% of the posters here, excited. If he fights Rigo it will be like Nish all over again with people complaining for a variety of invalid reasons.

Then, let Rigo fight Mathebula. Let's see if he can measure up.

They're all unknown to me. Have you heard of Montiel, Vazquez, Darchi, etc. Btw, unknown Cordoba exposed Rigo's glass jaw with a KD. Rigo barely won that fight w/ SD.

    NOPE!

Cordoba got pumped by Irish kid and Euro level Jeremy Dunne the same kid who got whooped by Poonsawat. Rigo also whooped Ricky Hatton's Irish cousin, Willie Casey. His best win believe it or not. Is Beranza the kid you saw on the same night. That Mexican kid is tough.

Nonito is targeting the winner of the fight between WBC titleholder Abner Mares of the U.S. and Anselmo Moreno of Panama and you call that ducking.
Bottomline: Rigo needs to fight more elite fighters other than nameless ones.

Donaire-Rigo has snoozer written all over it.

Donaire doesn't need another insipid affair that lacks action in his next outing.

Rigo is a lesser champ, product of mandatory championship, Mares is the genuine champl! Live with it.
