Donaire: Fighters like Rigo are bad for the sport of boxing... the scoring was unfair

I don't like seeing fighters turn their back, EVER. I don't like seeing them holding excessively EVER. That's why I didn't like Spadafora, who turned and ran from Manfredy several times and that's why I hated Ruiz.

Rigo isn't as bad about it as Spadafora, granted, but he still should have been warned. If you can't step around your opponent and you can't box out, you shouldn't be allowed to turn your back and take off at a dead run for the opposite corner.

 

He slipped a punch and walked away to get back in position, it's basically showboating and Gamboa does it to. It's nothing like running, it's to say "you missed and this is a walk in the park for me, I don't even know or care you're there". The only person who literally ran was Donaire in that 12th round.

 

Yeah, I totally agree. His retweets of his deluded fans kissing his ass aren't helping him. In which case the threadstarter should have just titled it as, 'Donaire's taking his loss bad on Twitter'. Instead he's opted for a trashy tabloid-like thread title -- something he's accustomed to doing on here -- just to invoke reactions. If he put up the more truthful title, he knew he wouldn't get the attention he wants. Like I said, it's petty.

What were the scorecards Bama?
On second viewing,and without the poison of Bob Sheridan, I can still see how it can be scored 115-112.and you of all people shouldn't be coming on accusing people of not being able to score a fight.
I picked Rigo, bet on Rigo and wanted to pick him on every close round,but I try to score how the judges will score,and it turns out I wasn't far off.

 

Donaire is a good fighter but vastly overrated. Some dickheads even had him top of their pound for pound lists. Pleassssseeeeee

 

He didn't slip ****, he felt the ropes against his back, stepped left, got cut off, stepped right and got cut off and flat turned his back and RAN out of the situation and reset on the other side of the ring.

Like I said the best Donaire could do was win two rounds. Witht he 10th being the only definite and I gave him the 2nd.

Really don't see what round you could give him (outside of the 10th) except the second. Rigo throughly outclassed him.

 

Spot on...I keep seeing people saying "you could score it close", I want to know the rounds that you could score to Donaire, other than the 10th.

 

whats worst is people are celebrating his KD, come on people you can have all the KD's you want if your hand isnt raised at the end it doesnt matter. No one should be surprised Donaire is a whiny ***** when he wins, philipinos always take losing the worst they can just accept the fact that there not actually good at sports.

 

Then you misunderstood the context between GOW and me because the way you responded suggests that you'd favor those two over Donaire.
