Agreed. The winner of Agbeko/Mares (which is going to be Agbeko) is the best option. Rigo can wait, if it happens between 12-24 months from now that would be perfect. Darchinyan is one I would still like to see, but it is getting less relevant every day. Would be nice to see it before Vic retires though.
At 122 That weak-ass Nishioka would get brutally KOed too. Rafael Marquez would put up a scrap but get stopped 118 would be the challenge at this point in time
The next Donaire Saludar won by 10 TKo but what's interesting is it took 10 rounds to take out the former champion.Pumar ( sick name) has been KTFO 4 times inside 6 rounds. It might be Pumar trained well and was in top condition for the fight or Saludar punches are not as strong as I had thought. I would have to analyze this closely.Saludar might of wanted some rounds in the bag too.
it seems more people wants nonito to stay at 118 for a while and fight the mares-agbeko winner and then move up to 122 and go for rigo. it's also quite surprising that quite alot wants a vic darchinyan rematch. note that darchinyan is still very relevant at 118 beating perez and had a close one with mares.
1 or 2 more fight at 118 then move on to 122... IMO Face Showtime Tourney winner, which is definitely gonna be Mares then Rematch VIC (not necessary but would be good as vic definitely has shown he is still hot) Move to 122 Face Either Nishioka, Arce, Marquez, Montiel (if he becomes champ while Donaire is still in 118.) Cubans want to see Rigondeaux get destroyed so maybe that to.. but carries no name nor money so I doubt it happens. Then after this who knows, you got Gamboa, Salido, Mikey Garcia, Juanma, Broner and whatever hot talents comes out... Donaire sky is the Limit.
I really think it should be Vic. Its an intriguing fight alot of people want and I think the clocks ticking for Vic and running out of options. Then the winner faces tournament winner.
