I don't see why Rigondeaux schooling Ramos is insufficient but Vazquez losing his one step up in competition and Mathebula having a close fight with Caballero makes them loads more worthy for a P4P fight.

JuanMa is clearly a bigger name than Donaire, even with recent losses. Arce and Rafael Marquez probably are too. I'm not even sure Donaire is a bigger draw than Mares to be honest. Donaire has more network backing than those guys but much like Khan at 140 that doesn't mean he's actually a bigger draw.

I can't actually believe people are still complaining about Donaire not fighting Rigo. Nishioka is the number 1 in the division, and near P4P status. And Rigo is taking on another club fighter.

I say it again; I'm ok with this fight, it's more competitive than Arce.
But saying Nishioka is p4p at his 37 yrs old and 1 yr lay off is ridiculous.
The fight can be sell only in a Rios undercard, nobody here knows Nishioka and Donaire just proved on his last fight that he isn't a big draw.
Nonito keeps changing his mind, he said after mathebula that he wanted another belt, then he went after Arce ,and now after Nishioka ( none of them hold any belt)
Rigo vs Donaire could have sell the same or better than Nishioka ,even as a main event with a decent undercard. And it's defenitly the fight 95% of fans want to watch.
If Rigo is fighting less opposition it's because he fights just whoever is available and with enough balls, he is calling anybody out, isn't just Donaire .

I like Rigo, he's a tremendous fighter. But why is he entitled to a shot at Donaire? People were slating Donaire for fighting Mathebula, his second fight at the weight. His first was against another former belt-holder, Vazquez Jr. Both these guys are better fighters than anyone Rigo has faced in the pros.

  5. I'm sorry but Mathebula was just terrible . Rigo would have taken him out early with a body punch KO

Ranking is enough. He fights the number 1 in the division. What the hell is wrong with that? Let Rigo Climb up the ladder and earn the shot.

Donaires copped a fair bit of back lash for ducking.

This is a good response from Nonito, should be a great fight.

No games. I'm a fan of Rigo. But achievements are more important than ability.

Rigo is the most overrated boxer of this generation. 10 fights against forgettable opponents and his minions are accusing others of ducking.

"Prove" what? What do you need proven to you, he's a title holder in the division, is recognized by anyone who knows **** about boxing as being one of the best in the division, if you ever watch boxing and have seen him in the ring it's pretty clear what he brings to the table, yet here you are making excuses for Donaire to duck this dude...pathetic as ****.

He's 37 years old and hasn't had a fight in a year, he's not the best in the division, if you want to stand by the "He's #1" whatever...but he's not the "best" I think we can all agree on that.
