    Agreed BA.

The whole preparation to me smacked of arrogance. I mean no Garcia in camp for a massive fight. The S&C coach was the first man to give him advice after Round 1. Something wasn't right there.

The shoulder stuff and baby stuff don't want to know. You beat top fighters with the injury.

Rigo schooled him on Cuban Boxing.

rigo didnt dominate him and it wasn't a schooling....rigo did however win a tactical battle...and won it well.

at the end of the day it doesn't matter what donaire says now....he is still one of the greats boxing today and should be very high up, still, on any p4p list.

I get its hard for people/fighters to admit defeat but I really do have alot more reapect for fighters who come out and say " He beat me, best man won on the night. "

Nonito's a good guy, but yeah, he got beat handily. Of course, we shouldn't blame him too much for what he says. It's only second nature to think about all the possible things that went wrong and while I doubt he intentionally wanted to make excuses, he's just bringing up what may have played a factor in his loss.

Must be really hard for a man of his talents -- who's been on an excellent run and is enjoying his prime -- to come to terms with someone coming along and renderring him that useless. It was competitive and in no way did he get beaten up or anything, but he was outclassed comprehensively. It will be interesting to see what he'll be like mentally after this. I fear Rigo may have done to him what B-Hop has done to so many other world class fighters. A 12-round schooling can be hard to come to terms with. Psychologically, that can be really damaging.

Good points lads, Rico i think you're right think he may of dented Donaire's aura of invincibility. As much as Donaire is a nice guy, Always felt there's a awe of arrogance in him and think it helped play a part in this defeat.
