you just answer half your question genius.

the other half would be viCs preparation for the fight. it was obvious that viC showed no respect for nonito as he lunged in recklessly with his hands down all nite.. and did he or did he not show improvement 'all around' in his distruction over mijares & arce in which you picked against vic x2.. :think

"he isnt good enough" just doesnt close the idea that viC isnt capable of making the neccessary adjustments to beat nonito. for you to give viC absolutely no chance like you did against mijares is quite epiC

Donaire is so overrated it's unbelievable. He hasn't beaten anyone since Vic!

Good skills no doubt but can he take a punch? He's as much a waste of natural attributes as Jorge Linares (although at least Nonito has beaten Vic at some point, Linares has beaten no one)

No one wants to fight donaire, he's like caballero and Paul williams, too tall for their division...

i would still say that donaire is the best flyweight h2h this decade and perhaps in the last 25 years

Boom_Boom please! I need some perspective on this! (While I appreciate TommyV's contribution, I know you were never sold on Mijares to begin with so getting your honest take on his last performance, balanced against other reports will help me calibrate a rough idea until I get to see it myself).

Are we treating it as a foregone conclusion that Donaire blasts out Cazares? :think I favor him, but...

For that matter Darchinyan could get upset by King Kong. Not that the rematch couldn't take place regardless of either guy's momentum, I'm just saying it may be foolhardy to look past their current charges.

Well he did qualify that by saying H2H, so it could just be his observation of Nonito's talent displayed in the ring and domination even weighed against the generally less than legendary opposition that's been available (though there ARE great fights to be made in that weight range, they just don't seem to get made for some reason :fire). Personally, I don't see it. Nonito's got great fundamentals and some firepower, but so far for me he falls just short of really being "special" - as in, stacks-up-in-any-era special.

True..I don't really see what is so special about this kid. I had the same vibe with Mijares. Overrated IMO.

Vic BY KO. Make it happen ASAP. Cuz I just can't stand Nonito runnin his mouth...

its just impossible to be a fan of this kid An I am FIlo.. :D

its a MYTH that Donaire's opposition has been bad since he whipped on Darchiyan. Moruti was a good fighter who earned his shot at the belt, and Martinez was another good fighter and undefeated coming into the fight. Both were PRIME, and both were KO'd or TKO'd. Martinez was utterly dominated.

    GIVE THE MAN SOME CREDIT.

As for Maldonaldo, Donaire beat his ass from pillar to post.

I agree...I dont think he has fought bad fighters at all but he hasnt the big name fighters that we were hoping to see.

He seemed to have missed the boat on that one.
