Vazquez Jr is been critized because He doesn't have an amateur career and lack of experience. Rigo, 2x Olympic Gold Medalist, etc with all the skills in the world. Best counter puncher out there recognized by Freddy Roach. The only problem is that He has nine pro fights and He is already world champ. Hahaha. Give this kid credits. He'll beat anybody in that division. I understand the business part but talking about boxing He is the best in 122 lbs.

donaire probably is avoiding rigo. if they ever fight im pretty sure rigo would stop donaigre.

 

I don't believe Donaire is or would duck Rigo.
It's Bob that will stop them fighting.
It's a big if,but IF Rigo had a perfect camp and his head was 100% spot on,I think he could get past Donaire,but anything less and Donaire would capitalize.

As mentioned before, facing Mares is a step in the right direction, knocking out Mares would do wonders for him.

And I wonder where all the ducking issue comes from as most interview from Donaire has him lay out a plan for this year, Arce, Nishioka and Rigo.

Anyways about the thread. I do feel that Rigo would do some serious damage to Donaire as he is just not hard to hit at all. I really have a hard time seeing Donaire take a straight left from Rigo.
I have said for a long time that Rigo would beat Donaire and alot of people said no right after the Montiel fight but after his last 2 performances people have changed their tune. Those flaws were always there for Donaire but being that he was so much bigger than his opponents they could not be exposed. Rigo is i believe smaller than Donaire but his power and precision is crazy. I just do not like how Donaire gets his so cleanly. One of these 122 and for sure 126 guys will tax him for that.

 

about Mikey vs Rigo there are 2 question marks:
1- we havent seen Rigo at 126 yet
2- we havent seen Mikey vs big 126 names yet
I think high of Garcia,i believe he is one of the few genuine examples of the best school of mexican boxers-doesnt have the promotion of canelo or Junior but looks more solid than both of them and he is getting better.
I dont have to explain about Rigo resume.
Im expecting Garcia to dominate 126 since gamboa is gone, Salido is old and Lopez will be departuring soon.And i dont see Rigo in a rush to move up since there are plenty of names at 118-122.
If they fight today i'll favor Rigo but i could be always too biased.

Garcia is just too complete for a small guy like Rigo to be able to beat.
Rigo can get away with beating some 126 pounders who have flaws but a big guy like Mikey with his solid skills and power and you have an uphill battle for Rigo.
I think Rigo would destroy Gamboa though which should be the 126 he should be targetting as he is a big name and is just made for him.
